In terms of armour it’s the strongest spacesuit individually. But if you have a legendary helmet, pack and spacesuit that are all fully upgraded/ are one of the three tiers refined etc. it beats the level 10 Starborn armour. And has another 6 legendary perks also. Starborn guardian 6 is good for a ship you haven’t built but in the game you can build some ships that blow the SG6 out of the water so have fun exploring that bro 👊🏽. This is coming for someone who did the same as you btw

@@imLeyt0n The point is that the game makes you play 10 times to max out the Starborn gifts armor and ship. But they are weaker than gear in the first 30 minutes of anyones first playthrough that you can just pick up from the mantis quest, or the UC terrormorph quest, or just legendary versions with perks on other armor that you can get at any game playthrough. The Starborn armor and ship were supposed to be interdimensional cosmic gifts from beings that control Multiversal powers and they are just...Okay? At best. Why does it not just let the starborn have normal 9 perks like other legendary gear? And why is it that its still weaker after 10 playthroughs than quest gear? Its supposed to be "Starborn" ultra-advanced and power. The frontier from the opening game can be upgraded better in the game better than the starborn ship.... I mean. Why? And we dont even get a special starborn weapon to make up for the losses in credits, ships, gear and weapon losses and perks lost in the new game plus? There have been dozens of games with New game pluses to look at that do this better.... I just dont understand why anyone there didnt realize the obvious here

TBF though, I think Starborn Armor and the Starborn Guardian is more for cool factor. It has a more sleek sci-fi look compared to the games more NASA inspired spacesuits and spacecraft.

@@nelson_rebel3907 I mean, within the first three gameplay hours, I've generally turned the frontier into a SSV Normandy. (which is 100x better than the mantis). I'd say it's more a testament to how broken the ship builder can be, that the Frontieer can be anything you want. Not sure I'd want to be given new ship could top a custom build that already singlehandedly won fights 5 to 1.

Did the exact same. Blitzed to NG10 now have the entire game to enjoy. Doing all the temples was a slog but felt like a personal achievement 🤘🏻

EXACTLY Omg I listened to the idiots that said don't. Immediately regretted it when it came to parting ways with all my beautifully crafted ships and outposts. Rush to NG+ 10 then you can do every side quest and build like there's no tomorrow without fear of losing anything because you never need to pass through the unity again.

On my first play through I played the full Main Quest as well as all the major and minor Faction Quests and a couple of side quests. Made sure to skill up things that were not combat (other than Ballistics and Rifles) and made some outposts and tested ship bldg also. Everything I made I kept in mind that I was going to New Game+ so I would lose everything. Got to level 100and basically maxed out the Outpost skills, Ship Bldg skills, etc. I am on NG+5 now at level 115. I did all this so when I get to 10 I can just play and Sandbox build. Found it to be the way to go so you play when you are not OP (and I switched to Very Hard early). Ship battles on Very Hard were most difficult till you get the C free ship and upgrade it. I think if you rush to 10 (you will be too OP) and you may get bored as it is a grind and not that fun. I know what I am missing so I have something to look forward too but before I even went into New Game+ I was too OP. So I would say take your time and enjoy the challenge because Very Hard is not difficult unless you are talking ships where you are outnumbered. Again you can make that easy too. What will be nice to see is if there are variations to faction quests as well. So far I have not gotten a variation on my main quest and when I get closer to 10 if I don’t see one I guess I will save scum force it.

I wanted to do what Opinari describes, but I've ended up doing the same as you describe because I couldn't get Barrett to give me final artifact location - the one that gives you Parallel Self - and when I went NG+ I couldn't find Barrett at all. So I reloaded and am doing basically what you have described. I get what you say, that we learn how to do things so we won't have to spend all those extra hours on learning stuff, getting wrong and starting over again. I'll take solace in this fact when I finally do get to NG+ - if I can figure out how to get Barrett to give me the Parallel self artifact location. You're right about Very Hard being tough when you have to fight several ships in space, especially when you haven't been able to find anything beyond a basic Ecliptic Claymore and is over level 100. I've been trying to upgrade the ship, but something always messes it up so I have to give up and try again later. I've spend hours and hours on this, but I still have some way to go before I'm good enough at ship building - and I also need to max out the skills, and find out where you can buy what kinds of additions, weapons, hubs, dockers, and what not. But all that being said, I still can't shake the feeling that I'm wasting a lot of time doing stuff that I would have preferred to experience for the first time in a NG+ nb. 11, when I have maxed the Starborn Powers.

I think I’m going to stop at NG3 for a while I like the armor and I plan to play this game for years to come. Might as well take it slow, but that’s the best part of the game we can all play the way we like!

Thank you for the video. 😊 It's nice to hear somebody not telling us we shouldn't do NG+, or we should wait until we've played everything else in the game, etc. I planned to do exactly what you describe, and I still haven't maxed my skills - far from it. I think you have to be level 300+ in order to get them all maxed, so there\s quite a distance to go yet. And that's fine, I'm having fun experiencing it all as I go along. However, I haven't started NG+ yet - or, I have, and here's why... I couldn't get Barrett to give me the Parallel Self location, even though I befriended him, even tried romancing him, and did his companion quest. I think I may have done it too late? Whatever the reason, he won't give it to me. So I started NG+, thinking I could get it from him if I befriended him earlier in the playthrough, but I never met him, and I couldn't find him when. I tried both versions, the one where you skip the main storyline, and the one where you do the main storyline, but Barrett didn't appear in neither version. Maybe if I hadn't given up after 17 hours? I eventually reloaded back to before I started NG+ and did the Crimson Fleet questline. So now, that I've done that, I wonder again if there's really no way to either get Barrett to give me the Parallel Self location before I start NG+, or to find him and hopefully get him to give it to me in a NG+? - I know I can use a console command, I just prefer not to do that if at all possible. At NG+10 I cannot imagine the game presenting any real challenge for you that level, even on Very Hard Difficulty if you play on that setting. More likely to also be bored with the game as it presents low challenge. I’ve got over 300+ hours in the game and at lvl 56. I’ve neither completed the Main Story nor completed collecting the artifacts. As a matter of fact I’ve only completed 1 Artifact mission then decided to go off the rails entirely and play the game my way as a sandbox. Ive got full advance lvl armor and a superior piece as well have them fully modded from research since I can make all the mods. The armor can seem in line with NG+ armor at the highest lvl or close. I play the game on Very Hard Difficulty full time. At my level even Very Hard Difficulty can seen rather easy in most cases and where it can still seem a challenge I welcome it as it is still so to keep it interesting. So I can only imagine at NG+10 if I was just how trivial easy the game would seem already when it’s already easy and I’m not even at NG+. Thus for me my perspective is I’ll stay in my current game and enjoy it for what it is. I’ll take my time to do whatever missions, story or otherwise right up to the point if necessary and stay there. I’m not going to bother about crossing over to NG+ one bit until the game drops a DLC that requires me to do so.

Always appreciate others opinions on this, but no one still hasn’t yet to convince me to consider that right off. I’m enjoying the game and the grind, the base building, ship building and all the mindless side quest. It basically sounds to me like most that are jumping to ng+ are just doing it out of compulsiveness more than anything. I’m having just the same fun not doing it, if not more fun. I’m going to wait for a dlc or two before I jump because they’re going to change it sooner or later, alter it some at least.

I beat all the faction quests, got to the end of the main story, and didn't much care for the ending. So instead of putting a ton of time and effort in to building everything up, I left, and plan to also rush through until +10. I will then settle down and stay in that system until I hit every square inch of explorable space and side quests. At that point, I may just roll a new character fresh, or perhaps jump to 11 and do it, not sure yet. I have the same feeling, once you know about the NG+, you can't happily build much when you know you have more to get. I get making it 1,000 hour game, slowly changing your character at each jump, doing everything at every + game level, but for me, I want to just play it for everything I can, and hook back up with the 10th Sarah and do it all lol.

I'm asking because I got stuck in the base game when I had all the powers except for the one that Barrett is supposed to give you location for, the Parallel Self artifact location. For some reason I can't get him to give it to me. I've befriended him and done his companion quest, I've even romanced him but reloaded when I found it made no difference. So I decided it's okay if I have to do 11 NG+ instead of 10, and I went to NG+. But I couldn't find Barrett anywhere, and you don't get the first part of the main-story quest-line. I will be incredibly grateful if you will tell me how to find Barrett in NG+? ... Thanks in advance.😊

@@puzelle when it gives you the option at the lodge you have to do the regular story line and not the ng+ quick one. Goto ng+ 11 with the quick option then choose the full story for the play through you’re gunna spend time on. You will encounter Barrett in that one.

NG+ 8 suit looks the best to me also the Star born armor applies to the helmet pack pack and spacesuit combined any set of superior Armor I've seen is better. That being said I still get it for the powers to level 10 aspect.

Personally rushing anything in a Bethesda game seems counter productive to me. You get super powerful and the game takes pains to get you to dive into it and explore. When the time is ready for NG I’ll know so I don’t see any need to rush. You’ll miss so much that the game has to offer by going too fast too soon. Personal opinion

I played Main story and side faction stories and i was ready to rush to NG+ for the suit and powers upgrades since the Starborn Guardin VI i have it already on my first playthrough stealing it from starborns lol but after patching the chest's now i dont know if i can go again and farm credits on NG+10 :/

Best looking armor, but I wouldn’t say the best. You can get much higher attributes/resistances by using high end legendary gear & more special gear skills using 3 pieces of regular armor. Same with the ship; it’s the best looking, but far from the best. I prefer custom made ship with 3 particle weapons. You can literally take out a starborn fleet with a class c fighter ship with 3 particle weapons 💯

I spent over 4 hours on my first play through and did the main quest and some side quest and almost maxed out all my skill, then at level 115 i just ran through the 10 NG+ . Now at NG+ I'm gonna start doing all other stuff i.e Outpost building in the game including the main quest again . Heck i even got married to both Sarah and Andreja.

Once you get ng+1 you can skip main story and goes for artefact only. 1 or 2 hour are enough for each ng+ with that. But ng+ is just a joke at this point imo.

While it is a good that enjoyed rushing through the game and doing the 10 NG+, i think for many people it will become very tedious very fast. I think new players should just take their time in the first playthrough and enjoy the content, and don't do NG+ unless they want a fresh slate.

⁠ The starborn armor loses 6 perks from other legendary gear unfortunately. The stats dont make for losing 6 legendary perks. I wish the armor was customizable and they gave starborn weapons to upgrade with newgame plus like the ship and armor. The ship looks cool but loses all upgradable functionality. So even the Frontier is actually a better ship with upgrades at any starship yard. Pretty dissapointing because they are only visually cool

Yeah I had this take a couple of weeks ago. The good thing is, armor doesn't really matter. At NG+10 with maxed out powers, with lvl 100+ armor stats and armor perks becomes flavour text. Besides it looks awesome transforming into your whole suit iron-man style when boost jumping in town.

NG+ is infinite but the game stops rewarding you at NG+10 which is where you unlock the very last starborn space suit. The only reason to go beyond NG+10 is for missed temples and trying to get your desirable lodge, which can be avoided by going saving at the Unity.

Takes about 40 min per run if you skip the story. Add an extra hour and a half onto that if you’re wanting all the temples. In total it’s about 24 hours of a mind numbing grind.

I dont think you can complete 24 temples in 2 hours :/ It gets 1 hour to complete the NG+ quest for the artifacts unless you are speed running i see many doing it in 35 minutes but there is no reason to go NG+ without upgrading powers imo so you need 2-3 hours more to complete the stupid puzzles and go everytime to the eye to get each temple.

I will be done with NG+ 10 probably tomorrow. My first like 100 hours I pretty much only did side quests, ranked up research and crafting and just tested out outpost building to learn how it works. The last armor you get is weak compared to what you can improve of whatever superior or advanced armor you find, and its just one pice instead of 3 you know. My real playthrough starts after NG+ 10 too.

I have played a very similar way. My first play through i had an idea for my character, former soldier turned scumbag who had a bounty on his head. This got him to join the Crimson Fleet and become a pirate, but the way Naeva and Delgado spoke to him made him mad. He then met Sam and Cora and they became his best friend, almost like a brother and neice to my character. Then he met Andreja who he eventually married. Then the Hunter killed Sam (making me choose between Sam and Andreja), I have since never sided with the Hunter as a form of vengeance. My second run i sided with SysDef against the Pirates as a revenge against Neava and Delgado. I spent time in one play through joining Ryugin just to see what they were about. Then i plan on doing FC Rangers so when i finally get to NG10 I'll have the starborn dialogue available for all factions.

Guys… I finally got to NG+ 10.. it’s worth it even though the process was painful. I basically run around only using powers and run around mainly with void form also my sneak and boxing are maxed so I just punch people knock them out with a instant kill with x10 stealth bonus. I feel like a God in game.

Everyone should do this. Why would you make a charachter and build on it doing missions and spending a bunch of time when it's gonna reset once you beat the game. Best thing to do is get to ng+ 10 and then start your profile

"felt like a personal achievement" ... that is a feeling I never going to understand after playing MMO's and RPG's over 40 years. To play through a game ten times in 48 hours seems like a massive waste of both time and money. How much fun, immersion and challenges do you experience in that time? Watch a sunset on a new planet ... build an outstanding outpost ... trying a lot of different ship builds ... and so on. Why not just go in to the console, hit god mode and be over and done with it. - "Look I made it in record time without even finishing my coffee!" I DO NOT say my way is the only right way, but this tendency that faster is better is kind of disheartening to me. ... or maybe I am just too old to understand it. [I played about 900 hours and has yet to finish the main story once and that is also extreme in a way ;-P]

Yeah. Everything i have, armor - and especially Ship, is so much better - legendary gear and crafted .. and the ship is handcrafted too. And every ng+10 would stand no chance. Not even close. Especially the ship really sucks hard. yeah, i cant cast some useless spells. So no sry, im skipping that. edit: i was stupid enough to start it. DONT. IT SUCKS HARD. Its a soulless and horrible grind. Its bad, really bad. Its boring and its so bad done, i want to punch someone in the face. It makes you sad and angry at the same time. Eye - running to temple - do that fucking catch the light game - eye - running to that fucking temple.. catchgame .. and again, again.. again.. 240x!!!!!!!!! DONT! The ship, even the highest, is worthless. completly.. Armor is nice though, some powers too..

THe frst time i speak with hunter in Atlantis i said: Omg what armor is this? Looks nice but NG+4 and NG+8 are better looking imo . Since they add the "skin" option they could at least after NG+10 to have all the 10 looks of the armor as a choise to trasmog armors :/

This game is set in the future. Why put a dress over a beautiful space suit and make it look so ugly and old fashioned. This isnt assassins creed. I cannot run around in space wearing a dress. I hope they allow us to remove the dress
