They make new decal stencils for the turn signal stalk. Will make it look 100 percent new. They sell on eBay for about 30 bucks.

Engine and transmission warmed up. Trans fluid level has to be checked with engine running in Park and on flat surface. The trans dipstick has to be between low and full marks. I always keep it at the max

Agree with you that the Euro headlights are much better looking. The plastic dash trim around the vents always crack, new ones are available from MB dealers, at least in UK (but £140, for the one to the left of the wheel for example) so not cheap. Like your rear door panel I’ve seen theses are prone to splitting on the tops but can be repaired. A new underbonnet pad would really tidy up that area nicely and cheaply.

Everything will come with time. I already ordered a brand new Genuine left side vent for my interior. It was $140. I also need a center vent assembly but it's NLA. I just want this car to be immaculate again 😭😭

Owning a 190e is like being in an abusive relationship. It beats you up and takes all your money but you keep going back for some reason. I daily drive a 1992 190e 2.3 that was neglected, @ 195,000 miles. I've spent the last 3 years restoring it and damn near half the car has been replaced at this point. Headgasket, transmission, door panels, radiator, timing chain, you name it.. They are good cars but it just never ends man.. The cosmetic issues are what really kills me..

I also have been worrying about small dents on my W140, I did find a tool called Gliston paintless dent puller that you might find useful. It seems to get dents almost all the way gone without crazy cost.

Hello👋, what type of ATF do you recommend for the transmission? I have heard that dexron 2d is suited. I have the same engine and transmission in a w124.

Dexron 2 it's not easy to get.

hey man i want to get an 87 190d 2.5 turbo that had the 602 turbo replaced with a 601 and someone threw away some ultra rare turbo specific parts. don't you know of someone that has the turbo airbox and the little firewall that separates the airbox and expansion tank area from the engine. i may have to look for them in europe but it'll be better if it is in the states.
