Scotty goes by experience. Here is my experience: in 2010 I purchased a 2011 Kia Sorento. After 11 years and almost 100k miles, I have (out of pocket) replaced the main battery twice, the windshield wiper blades three times, and recharged the air conditioner once. My purchase included "tires for life" and I am now on my third set provided by the dealer. This Kia has been the least expensive new car buying experience after 10 years I have ever had.

I told this new generation get us manual transmissionthey last forever they never break down so of course every hundred twenty thousand miles you got to replace the clutch but I got a Kia soul that I got 202 thousand miles on it and I've never had any problems with it besides regular maintenance so I'm sure if you're going to buy a hybrid stick with Honda and Toyota but if you're going to buy a good reliable combustion engine automobile the Kia souls are a sure hit

@@trini_boi2414 well my Forte is pretty good. I am changing oil more often than the manual suggests because I have noticed that it does something odd. When the oil needs replacing the fuel economy tends to get a little worse. I track my fuel economy to sorta keep tabs on the engine. Anyway the fuel economy now tends to get worse earlier so I am replacing the oil earlier. So ever 5000 miles instead of every 7000 miles. It also makes it really easy to know when to replace the oil.

Scotty, Kias and Hyundais from 2014 onwards tend to have some awkward positioning of the MAP sensor and it gets clogged up with oil from the carter ventilation. I had the issue with poor gas mileage on a 2014 hyundai i30, 1.4L gasoline engine, which got 16l / 100km and the dealer would not even know what the car had. I was forced to diagnose it miself and fix it. Related to the coolant leak, some hyundays just have a hole in the coolant reservoir to "equalize the pressure in the system" (those were the dealer's words when i told them that the hole is not such a good idea) and as a result, you have to put coolant in it twice a year to be sure you're on the right level. Do you have any solution/clue for headlights (of the same type as that kia had) which don't run bright enough? Could it be the wirings?
