That’s genesis’s thing. They give you much more for much less money. A Mercedes or BMW is really expensive because pretty much every car has different options. Genesis sell fewer configurations which reduces cost. Also that three pointed star costs about $10,000 on its own

@@Punicia Actually, I like the interior of the new Model S Plaid...especially with the Yoke. Hopefully, the yoke steering wheel makes it to production. @Pohjois Disaster Moon stay alive to me is better than dying. I can say that having followed some of his career he is not the type of person to just roll over. I'm sure that he will try a come back I can only hope as a fan that he can overcome this accident and ascend to new heights of the great champion that he is. My son was in a motorcycle accident with the same type of injury and if you see him walking today you'd never know he was injured that badly. He has a rod plus many pins in his leg. So theres always that window of possibilities.

Features left out of review. These are worth mentioning because other SUVs in this class do not touch. - 8 Speed automatic with Dual clutch. Gives silky smooth gear shifting, almost undetectable unless one is looking at the tach. -RANC this is road and engine noise cancellation. Somewhat like noise canceling headphones. There are microphones in near the engine and tires where they summed and inverted and played back through the audio system to cancel Road and Engine noise. -Dual mode port and direct injection. While may be in other vehicles, this combines the best of both worlds, the quietness of port injection while avoiding the carbon buildup found in pure direct injection. -Stereoscopic camera ride control. Using signal processing and the 3d cameras, the dampening on the shocks is dynamically adjusted based on forward looking road conditions.

The interior is okay, nothing special. The exterior design is certiainly not gorgeous and the exterior is "meh". The front end though is a disaster, like many brands (Looking at you Lexus and now BMW). But it's just an expensive Hyundai so you'll never see one in my driveway.

From the moment he begins his test drive to "see how it drives," he doesn't say a single word about how the car actually drives, other than "not very sporty." He just muses for few minutes on Genesis's positioning in the market, and then he wraps up the review. I'm curious to know about the GV80's ride quality, noise levels, steering weight, etc., and all he offers is the vague Doug Score. He's been doing this more and more lately, and I find it annoying. He's obviously doing well for himself with these videos and doesn't need my opinion, but I miss his earlier review style, where he at least tried to convey to viewers what it was like to actually drive the cars he tested.

*Video 11 of posting this Doug review until he reads it:* THIS is a man. More specifically, a 1988 Doug Demuro. And today, Im going to go over his quirks and features, then take him out on the road to see how he drives. THEN, we will give this Doug a Doug Score. Starting with the exterior, this 1988 Doug Demuro comes with a 2-tone color scheme. On the top, a grey shirt with the logo of the "Portland Sea Dogs" on it, and on the bottom, beige pants. An interesting color choice, and it seems to be aftermarket. Further, this model does not come with a hat. However, this is the Sport Model, so this Doug comes with a lapel microphone to record your commentary. That is about it for the exterior quirks, now we move to the interior. Inside, this Doug comes equipped with every option a man would have from the factory. All internal organs are present, however, this one has a a special program loaded onto the brain, enabling it to talk endlessly about quirks and features. Quite a nice option, and a truly rare one from the factory. This option in combination with the color scheme makes this man a unique example, the only one in the world. Now, lets take this guy out on the road, and see how he drives. Doug is not exceptionally fast, with a maximum speed of 25 miles per hour, a bit slower than the average 28 miles per hour of most humans, however, as he has the sport package, he can talk while doing so, and record it with the aforementioned lapel mic. SO, when you are done running, you can upload your lap commentaries, and share it with your friends. Doug's acceleration is decent, reaching his top speed in just 10 seconds, quite impressive. However, due to a bad evaporative cooling system found on all humans, Doug can only keep up his top speed for a few minutes, after which, the top speed drops drastically. Doug's handling is impressive. Like all humans, he can turn 360 degrees on the spot, can jump to clear low curbs or speedbumps, and is able to move using his arms as well as his legs. However, what sets this guy apart in the handling department is his ability to fit into rear seats. Doug can cram himself into even the smallest of rear seats, the most impressive being the rear seats on the 996 generation Porsche 911 with hardback sport seats. Even the smallest guys often cannot fit into those rear seats, however, Doug did. That concludes the driving experience of the 1988 Doug Demuro. And now it's time to give THIS guy a Doug score... Starting with the Weekend Categories and Styling, Doug is ok but not beautiful and the cheap clothes don't help, so he gets a 5 out of 10. Acceleration is fine, considering his height 6'4 and he gets a 6 out of 10. Handling is only ok, sometimes he can't handle special purpose cars plus he's a little tall and not athletic so he gets a 4 out of 10. Fun Factor is high, especially for who he izz, and the 2 T-shirts bump it up a point or two, and he gets an 8 out of 10. Cool Factor is high too, he is probably the best reviewer among other KZbinrs and he gets a 9 out of 10 for a total Weekend Score of 32 out of 50. Next up are the Daily Categories and Features, he has a lot of weird/interesting quirks and features and he gets a 7 out of 10. Comfort is top notch, this guy is really comfy and relaxed and he gets a 9 out of 10. Practicality is low, he isn't practical at all, he even uses his iPhone to record and he gets a 3 out of 10. Quality is mediocre for the class, this guy just doesn't seem quite well built and he gets a 4 out of 10 Finally..,Value...Doug is worth watching, but he's "depreciating" fast considering he's only 30 and looks like 40 so he gets a 5 out of 10 for a total Daily Score of 28 out of 50.. Add it up and the Doug Score IZZZ..60 out of 100 and here's how he stacks up against rivals...

I cant be any more satisfied with our purchase. I got the v6 AWD drivetrain for my wife. Ride quality is gloriously magnificent, does not lose to any other luxury brands in this category, feels as if I am riding through clouds instead of hard asphalt road. Inside cabin is simple and yet refined and elegant - I much prefer this over some other makers' cluttered panels. Lastly, I notice many people doing double takes of this car. I am mightily pleased with the design - those on the design team (interior as well as exterior), along with the chassis and drivetrain team definitely nailed this one. I am also looking to purchase gv70 for myself as I prefer smaller vehicle when it comes out.

Why is every reviewer of cars on KZbin nowadays always concerned about the 'sportiness' or launch control speeds on EVERY type of vehicle driven? It's a luxury SUV, for criminy sake, not a muscle car nor sport sedan. Some buyers actually want luxury and a comfortable ride. 370+HP is more than adequate for the intention of this vehicle.
