I used to be a valet in college - I've driven all sorts of shit.. from Dodge Vipers to Audi R8's and more but this is the car that absolutely Wow'd me. Especially the blue interior, looks like something you'd see on a yacht. That's the vibe it gave me. Beautiful car.

I have driven Lincolns since 1977. My first was a Marc V. I have had Continentals, Aviator, MkC. and three TownCars I drove a Catalac for less than a year and traded it in for another Town Car. The difference in comfort is unbelievable.

Marko Marić I agree, that issue needs to be resolved, especially on a car at this price point, but at least it will likely be reliable, unlike any of the European luxury brands I, or my family and friends have owned. A bmw may have better body panel fitment, but their engines blow up after 5 yrs. Meanwhile, you see 15 yr old fords and lincolns still driving all over the place.

The main reason, if any, that I would buy this is the interior. The exterior is a bit bland, but it’s not supposed to be overdone. The trunk line has an issue, but I believe they may have fixed it in the 2020 model. The car is good, but it’s no Rolls-Royce.

At 4:33..you can see the left tail light does not align with the light on the trunk. This is totally inexcusable for an $80k plus car. And this is something you would NEVER see on a Lexus. If they didn't do quality control on something THIS obvious..just imagine what else is wrong with this vehicle. If you really want one save your money and buy a used one at a huge discount..especially since this model has now been killed off. And get it in black so you don't see a misaligned trunk light so obviously..lol.

I think this Lincoln looks very classy. However, its annoying that the exterior's fit and finish aren't up to par. When you look at the trunk lid you'll notice that the left side sits slightly higher than the right side. You especially notice it when looking at the chrome on the tail lights. For an $83k car this is unacceptable. This has also been an issue with the Ford Fusion. Awhile back my wife rented a 2015 Fusion SE and the trunk alignment was terrible. There was a huge panel gap on the left side which was especially noticeable just below the tail light. I looked in to it and found that many Fusion's are plagued with this issue. All in all, it's not the end of the world and doesn't necessarily mean that the car is complete crap. It's just an annoying cosmetic issue and one that an $83k car should definitely not have.

When the first Ford Fusion was produced it had quality control issues when it came to fit and finish. Very unacceptable in this day and age when today you have companies like Kia and Hyundai making better quality interiors. I wanted and waited long enough for a Lincoln that I could love but unfortunately they didn't deliver. So now I'm in love with the Genesis G70.

I just traded my 17 reserve in for a new white black label exactly like this one white with blue...without the back seat package. My only gripe with booth- the upper part of the seat squeaks when its extended out (both have the perfect 30way position seats). I was about to hit 100k problem free miles and nothing else out there i liked so got another one. Love them...just wished they were making a new model.

Ford and GM, and especially their dealers, are still not understanding what the heck they need to do to win back customers. If a dealer sells a car for $80k, and doesn't make sure that everything is perfect when handing the keys over to the customer, it does not bode well for either the car or the service that the customer can expect to receive when having that car serviced at the dealer. Basically, if Ford and its dealers cannot make sure that body panels are properly aligned before delivering a car to the customer, do you have any confidence in the longevity of the car's engine or transmission? Do you think a dealer that cannot even recognize a trunk is misaligned, and probably does not know how to align it anyway, will be able to address routine or serious engine and transmission issues in the future? As an owner of two GMs, I can tell you that they largely have no clue as to what they're doing, and don't really care anyway (once they have your money).

The Continental is one of my favorite cars if not my favorite. They are just so beautifully designed and engineered. My one complain about it would be the engine. I feel that in a big sedan such as this it deserves a V8 option. If this car had the 5.0L from the mustang I believe it would be an outstanding car. Or at least be given the option of a V8.

The Continental is beautiful but I learned that Lincoln will no longer produce the MKZ after 2020 so I decided to get one before it was too late. Thanks for the review! Such a gorgeous car. If it's windy outside, why not just do your commentary like you did. But then, take it into your editor and mute your sound and do a studio voice over repeating exactly what you said originally? Of course, this wouldn't apply when listening to engine sounds, interior road noise, ect... but for a general walkaround intro commentary, doing the voice over later in-studio would definitely up the quality (at least to the point of not having to apologize for the wind).

I've owned 3 Audi's, 2 VW'S, and 3 BMW's (all older cars), and none of them were ever as reliable as the 3 Ford Bronco's I've owned or the Tundra that I now own or the 2 older Camaro's I've owned or the 2 Mustang's that I've owned. Germans can make a nice looking car, but that's really all they can do. They make overpriced cars that break down and cost a fortune to repair! When things start going out on German cars, then EVERYTHING starts going out on German cars! I once spent $1200 replacing 3 power window motors on a 2006 Audi A4 because they all went out around the same time! I spent $1000 at Audi fixing a heater core because Audi had to remove the entire dash to fix it! My wife now has a 2010 VW CC, and it seems like it's one electronic component after the other which needs repairing! The 2 cars I owned the longest were my 1998 Ford Mustang GT and my 1996 Ford Bronco 302. Both cars had bullet proof engines and parts and electronic components were extremely cheap to fix! I'll never buy another European car ever again!

Rick W Amen to that brother I have a 96 Ford F150 with a 5.0L (302) Windsor V8 with 207,000 miles on it and still going strong. The only thing I replaced on my truck was the starter but other than that mostly was just simple maintenance, took out the transmission fluid just to get rid of the shuttering it was making and it hasn't had a problem ever.

Here's the problem: base price is $45,000 and probably sold as fleet vehicles to rental car companies. Anyone who travels often can upgrade to this level. So they get a base Continental and think, meh. Will never think that they're anything special and get home to their e-class or 5 series and never think about the Lincoln as an option when their lease is up.

Ger Lo E43 0 to 60 in 4.2 seconds is very quick and Mercedes brand always stands out than BMW AuDi and the rest. The best or nothing!

David Orgun Absolutely true. BMW and Audi are also premium brands but Mercedes makes the difference. I love the C205 AMG design. Sporty and elegant in my opinion.

LED headlights do not warm up headlights when turned on - which will affect visibility during the snow or icy conditions in the colder climates. This is the bit of a downside of all brands that have LED headlights. The alternative is, see what models have automated washers that are built into front bumper (BMW, etc.)
