@@AthletismeQc Stock base sound systems suck yes but stock premium sound systems (jbl, b&o, ml) *can* sound very good. I had a 2007 Camry hybrid with the upgraded 8speaker JBL sound system and it sounded amazing, but my dad drives a 2013 highlander hybrid with the JBL system and it's meh. I currently drive a 2012 Audi A6 with the base Bose audio and it's definitely lacking, but I test drove one with the B&O sound system and it sounded great.

Same! I like how it looks and how they kept it basic. I thought the ipace was cool but I would actually own this. I know it wont matter since electric from 2019 cars will all be worthless by the time it breaks, but I cant get over how these interiors would never stand the test of time but having said that, the Audi touch input is the first I see that doesn't make the infotainment seem like more of a modern annoyance then its worth.

According to an Audi Spokesperson: "The filmmakers requested a sound for a specific scene in the new Avengers movie, a sound that actively supported the drama of the scene, including the gag when Tony Stark deliberately drove by. On the basis of this request from the filmmakers, Audi experts developed a digitally-generated sound for the car. This sound was then further developed together with the sound experts from the filmmakers in order to fit perfectly into the scene. As well as teasing the series production version of the E-tron GT in the movie, Audi is also teasing the topic of sound for its up-coming electric cars. In the near future, regulations will require that electric cars make a sound in many markets around the world. The sound that Audi developed for the E-tron GT concept in the new Avengers movie is not the actual sound of the E-tron GT series production version - which goes into production in 2020."

Cameron how many days a week do you go more than let’s say the 310 miles on the model 3? I thought like you did but I wake up to a full car in my drive way every morning and spend considerably less time refueling than with a gas car. On road trips there’s usually restaurants at the super chargers. I plan it so I stop when I would have stopped for food anyway and I’m on my way for another 250 miles after 30 minutes. It’s all better and that argument is only valid for people regularly drive 300 miles + on most days of the week.

All good points. I'll add that empty to 80% charge time is a useless metric. What matters in the end is how much time you have to spend charging on long drives. Model 3 easily wins on this metric, since it's so efficient and since Superchargers are plentiful, allowing you to avoid filling the battery too much. Here's a Model 3 long range charging at a v2 Supercharger, adding 200 miles of range in less than half an hour: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3abnJ6chdGIrJY.

Tesla Model X LR takes only 12 minutes to charge: abetterrouteplanner.com/?plan_uuid=d865ada5-6d6d-4b41-bb1c-484cdbd421c9. Even the Model X SR needs only 16 minutes to charge. @@panagiotisf7228 "All of this really comes down to your electricity source, which is fairly easy to find out if you don’t already know. Depending on where you live this can change drastically. Looking at data from the U.S. Department of Energy, in Massachusetts we’re 69% natural gas, 16% nuclear, 8% renewable (solar, hydro, wind), and 4% coal ... and a few other random things round it out. A gasoline car produces 11,435 pounds of CO2 equivalent each year vs. an EV in Massachusetts at 3,533 pounds of CO2 equivalent each year. If you take a step back and look at the national average, EVs step up slightly to 4,453 pounds of CO2 equivalent per year. Move to a state like Missouri, which is 80% coal, and EVs produce 8,135 pounds of CO2 equivalent per year. Still better than gasoline cars, but nothing close to what we’re seeing in states like California at 1,974 pounds of CO2 for an EV each year.12 Even a purely coal electricity driven EV will pollute less than an average conventional gasoline car over its lifespan.13 It’s the emissions saved from using the car day to day that pull EVs way ahead of gasoline cars, and as more states and countries move into cleaner electricity, those numbers will continue to improve over time. Norway is nearly 100% renewable energy right now. And some surveyshave shown that between 28-40% of EV owners have solar panels on their homes, like I do. And finally, the end of life of these cars. Lithium ion batteries can be recycled, which will keep hazardous materials from entering the waste system. Some car companies, like Renault with their Zoe EV in Europe, are taking degraded batteries and repurposing them into their whole home battery storage system.14 Tesla already has partners for recycling spent battery cells, but is planning to build out it’s internal recycling system to make all of the Gigafactories a closed loop system. It’s not only good for the environment, but it also makes financial sense because they can recoup a lot of valuable materials without having to dig for more.15 In the end, both gasoline and EVs put out just under one ton of CO2 during disposal." I have noticed this type of thing on other "luxury" vehicles like the I-pace (when he seemed all excited about the range) and my best guess is that this is sponsored and hes trying to make the car sound good. I don't blame him because people that watch this video that have fuck-you money to pay for an expensive electric Audi want to hear that the car they're about to buy is the best one. @Hirorir
@Hirorir 5 жыл бұрын
@@0xdr0id29 Hm. Considering the battery capacity difference of about 20kWh to the Model 3, I can't say that the E-Tron is doing better. If Tesla decided to start packing their current gen 2170 batteries to the same capacity as the E-Tron, they would see a linear increase of 27% in charging rates, which is effectively the same as the E-Tron. If this were to be implemented on the MS/X it would be further improved due to the separate disconnected battery thermal management system. Aside from that, the E-Tron's range is piss poor for the battery capacity. If the charge rate applied the miles/kWh metric for the vehicle, you get about 163 miles in 30 minutes. All of Tesla's vehicles are well above that rate. You're better off getting a Kona Electric.

These are the peak charging rates, just like all EV manufacturers list them. The battery pack is only capable of accepting this much power for a short period of time. So no, you can't fully charge a 100 kWh Tesla from empty to full in 23 minutes, but there's also no need to. You CAN stop at a Supercharger for 23 minutes and gain plenty of energy to drive for several more hours until you'll want to stop again.
