The 2023 Honda CR-V has arrived in the Philippines. In this video, we get to check out the 2023 Honda CRV VX AWD. In this Filipino car review, we take a tour of the 2024 Honda CRV VX to see what sort of goodies it can offer. The 2023 Honda CR-V VX is the middle trim, with the 2023 Honda CRV Hybrid taking the top trim. The 2024 Honda CR-V VX gets 7 seats versus the 5 seats found in the 2024 Honda CRV E-HEV. The base trim 2023 Honda CR-V V also gets 7 seats but it has lesser niceties than the 2023 Honda CR-V VX Turbo. The 2024 Honda CR-V VX is also priced well, with this middle trim coming in at over 300 thousand less than the top-spec 2024 Honda CRV hybrid. The Honda CRV VX goes up against the Mazda CX5, the Subaru Forester, and the Toyota RAV4 in terms of price. The 2024 Honda CRV VX gets a good amount of power as well, with only the Mazda CX5 AWD Turbo getting more horsepower than the 2024 Honda CR-V VX Turbo.

I think the 9" infotainment screen is just right (maybe 10" max). It's a car, not a home theater system or a gaming rig. You need information , but also less distraction. Which means, aside from a balanced screen (neither overwhelming not underwhelming), more tactile buttons and knobs that don't require the driver's sight to operate.

I have driven the Hybrid in the US. Its a great ride and relatively affordable there. Below 1.9 million pesos if directly converted to our currency (PHP2.6 million retail in PH currently as announced) . But of course we have a different tax structure for vehicles that is why prices are so high (vehicle tax was not this high a decade ago). Alas, my budget is restricted to sub-Php 2million so I'll wait for some years to pass for a decent 2nd hand unit lol.

Compared to previous CR-V Honda trimmed down the design significantly for a more boxy, less expressive look. 2nd to 5th gen showed more curves, trim-pieces and chrome, appealing more to the huge mom market. Now seems they circled back to the light off-roader look of the gen1.

Sadly, since the launch of this model, I have only seen one (base model) parked on the road in front of UAP along Pearl Drive. I haven't seen another one on the road and I drive home and to work everyday from Parañaque to Ortigas. I think buyers would rather buy a Ford Territory that costs 1 Million Pesos less.

If you're gonna spend 2.2M for a Honda CR-V, that's definitely a bad decision. Pretty sure you can get great Subaru and Mazda cars for the same price range with equal or better techs on them. Better yet you got a premium brand to make you stand out from the crowd, unlike the pedestrian Honda. 🤷‍♂

The new generation CRV looks simple yet expensive especially the 4x2, 5 seater only, Hybrid variant @ P2.6M. I thought its AWD already.😆✌🏻 The US fascia looks more sporty yet affordable and full of amenities.🤌🏻(Competition I think) Better go with Mazda CX-8. Looks way better, premium and comes with 5 years free PMS. Sulit na.💎 Hope hindi lalangawin new CRV current pricing offer nila.😎✌🏻
