I love Hummer H1s. I own one the only thing I say to anyone who wants one is get rid of the electric fuel pump. Then you will have a good truck. They are the toughest trucks ever made.

Very true they drink a bit of gas but in saying this they drink no more than the average V8 fuel guzzler. Mine drinks between 14 to 16 litres for every 100km which isn’t too bad. Not as good as a Prius but can a Prius go where a hummer can 👍

Sometimes I wish they still sell the Hummer the first model the true classic old classic Hummer always wanted one I was a little boy and now they don't make plumbers anymore it is kind of sad it's like a unicorn you seen once and she never again I wish I was old enough to buy it I was little I wish I should bought the first Hummer it's still one of my dream cars in my life I don't even care what hippie says

To be 100% honest I love how the first Hummer was the first generation absolutely beautiful to my eyes and yes I still wish they could still sell it today to be honest I would still want to buy one I don't care for any other vehicle afterwards you know I could not compare it to a damn Lamborghini the Hummer H1 was a rare

I love my 99 HMC4. Spent a small fortune restoring and upgrading it and enjoy driving this truck more than anything else I’ve owned. 😀

I had a 99 HMCS and I also loved it but I have sold it long ago. Everyone should try owning one in their life. They're amazing vehicles. I sometimes think of buying a street legal Humvee and starting again, but I never did.

I’ve seen a few hard top pickup trucks. Almost bought one from the army drmo for a few grand. It was a metallic green painted navy ship flay gray on the outside. A damn captin wanted it to drive around base so the sale was never finalized. I wonder if it is still driving around the camps? I have a military variant but the civilian ones are still nice. Especially if you can get it cheap.

I got myself a civilian hummer but to be honest now with the time effort / $$$ I’ve put into it I wish I’d got my self a military version you can modify it much more and parts are easier to get. The only advantage of the civilian is slightly more comfortable and the CTIS system. But hey they are basically the same truck and I sure love driving it easily where other trucks can’t go 👍

Those of us who own them are not afraid to make changes to make it perfectly suited to our use. The entire idea of the hmmwv and in the military is one platform and make alterations into the specific use needed: tow missile launcher, personnel carrier, ambulance, etc.
