In the day, lord we would scream around the tracks, two stroke river here. I’m 60 now, broke several bones, some a few times. I really miss screaming through the woods with our hair on fire. I was a Suzuki fan, last race was on a KTM, 1985, finished 2nd place for a grand prize of $500.00, thought I’d hit the big leagues back then. Now I have a Polaris 700 ATV to buzz the woods at a lightning speed of 10 to 15 miles per hour. Gray hairs, walk with a limp from going off a cliff on the TM-250, man that was one hell of a mind boggling scramble. Anyway guys, be safe, think about the AIR time you get, trust me, there is no padding under the dirt. Catch a few for me men, be safe and give it hell until it gives it back at ya.

I know it’s a year later, but Kawasaki‘s pretty much dominate the big four in terms of affordable Japanese motorcycles. They own WSBK, most superstock classes, they make the coolest sport bikes that aren’t a zillion dollars, and even motocross has had more Kawasaki victories with in recent memory then Yamaha that’s for sure. Like since 2005 or so. Kawasaki is superior to Yamaha… I am an engineer (like actually) so I’m not pulling it out of my ass. After all, they have a massive heavy industry and aeronautical in space division. And usually Kawasaki is more expensive, at least motorcycles.

How's the power on it?
@Thesaurcery4U2C2 жыл бұрын
@@nathancasares8995 I Had an 09, and it was my favorite bike I have ever owned, out of maybe 12 or 15? My riding is all play, but balls out play. I've done a couple vet races and scrambles, but love a good MX track. It was only the second 4stroke i ever owned at the time, and 8 years old when i bought it. Mine was a nice strong pull all the way through, with a little more at the top of the rev than it seemed natural, i guess? Just a last little blast at the time it felt the revs were falling at top to shift. Kinda cool? Set bike for sag to my weight and never turned a clicker out of stock mid settings, and i could just eat shit at speeds i've never felt sure about other bikes being able to do. This comfort was immediate, and I'm probaly just a little faster than my 3 buddies who ride with me, so I would fade off track give them a LONG distance, and run up on them on a fairly narrow track and wherever they were on the track it seemed to not matter. I would keep that speed and, and mawl past, popin in or out of rutts, off and on edge of track, i just went where we decited to go without arguments. So i sold it assuming it was because it was the newest model bike i'd ever owned at the time, so they were just amazing now. Went straight to a 09 YZF450 And the power diff from 250 was very noticeable, but what the hell am i gonna do with it? 1/4 mile drags. I'm not fast enough to ring every drop out of a 250 and feel it's just not enough, Who the hell really is? Pro's but not joes. I was way faster on the 09 kxf 250 than the 2 other 450s i bought and two more newer 250s trying to find that bike feeling again. A 12 kxf and a 15 rmf were great bikes but not at all what that one was. Doing fork seals, everything appeared to be stock suspension to me? We was Soul mates. lol. I've NEVER felt such a diffrence between bikes. Jesus I really miss that thing, and wrote a damn novel, during memory lane. 52 years old now and have a 2012 KTM 150 sx. Got a great deal on it and had a bigger bike at the time, but i'm getting slower, not faster, so i kept the little 150, and it's closer to the older 250s id owned than the older 125s, it still feels small but good god if you keep that thing singing 3/4 throttle +, It's plenty enough bike to jack me up good givin the chance.

@@gameclips2009 that is great, obviously you've maintained it well.I have a 98 yz125 that I break out every once in a while when I get tired of my yz450f , still a lot of fun. But Kawasaki and Suzuki are not built as well as Yamahas. It's just a fact , very easy to see the differences.

I rode mine on some trails the other day, my first ever ride on it (2007). I think it's too much bike for me unfortunately. I am 5'7" barely and about 170 pounds. I will give it another shot but may have to go down a bit smaller. Great video.

For a first bike I would say yes. I am 6 ft and a 250 is perfect for me however I have literally been riding dirtbike since I was 5. I went from a 50cc to- 70cc, 80cc, 85 2 stroke, and now a 250 4 stroke. I would recomend a big wheel 2 stroke 85 or a regular 2 stroke 125. I hope this helps

try a Rekluse clutch.. really makes the bike better to ride especially on the trails!

Kinda late to this video, but do you still have this bike? If yes, how's it holding up? If not, how many hours did you put on it and did you have any problems? I'm looking to get a used 2019 for my son as his first big bike. He's outgrown his KX100.

I've always loved how Kawasaki runs. The problem with most Kawasaki are there just a lot rougher than the Honda and Yamaha.

Definitely not a bad bike, especially for the money. I had to think long and hard about it before buying my 19 yz250f. Electric start won me over. I'm old and lazy. That said I could have had a new still at the dealer 18 kx250f for over 2k less. Unless you're a pro level rider, they're all comparable bikes when ridden by normal folks.

Hey guys, I hope everyone can answer my question. My dad and I have recently finished my yamaha wr200 2 stroke dirt bike build, I have ridden it around my Court slowly and felt out the clutch and brakes. I still haven’t experienced the 2 stroke power band. I know I’m a complete amateur to dirt bikes but my dads encouraging me to start to learn on the local track. Can I please have any recommendations for riding style, how I should take corners, jumps and positioning on the bike and I. Thanks for all the help I can get 💪🏻💪🏻
@cyclinq10605 жыл бұрын
Lozza Lakat Stand up when you jump, for corners if you are going into furs get up on the bike n put your foot out, if your taking the outside do the same, and don’t cross jump
