I've heard when they're that low we should be checking for leaks as well. Did you add refrigerant with dye to track down where your charge went?

Some of the freon rechargers have a sealant in them to plug up small leaks. However, if a car loses freon in a sealed system, there is probably a slow leak somewhere.
