People with average/slightly larger than average hands still have to readjust their grip to get to corner opposite their thumb at the top of a 6.2+ inch screen. The mini also represents a bit of compromise from a usage standpoint that is very function forward for a lot of folks who like a productivity and messaging tool, not an entertainment/consumption device... The does a decent job of that too.

Good question! The reason is because of how you hold your phone, and the fact Apple wants to push Spatial Photos (the ones that appear 3D in Vision Pro). Having a dedicated capture button is meant to encourage you to take more landscape photos. Regarding the point of the action button, that is something that already exists. If you set the action button on the 15 pros to be to open up the camera, it will double as a shutter button. But I find when trying to use it the same way as what’s described in the video, my fingers always creep into frame. Anecdotal, sure, but I imagine apple sees it the same way

I completely disagree. If you have ever used an actual camera, you'll know that the shutter button is one of the main reasons why they are much easier to use than a phone. Having to touch a screen to take a photo is just annoying. And since one of the main selling points of the iPhone is that it can be a replacement for an actual camera for casual users, this just makes one of the most important iPhone features way better. Also, you can take photos much faster with an actual shutter button.

Honestly when companies like beastgrip and shiftcam exist, you can literally attach a $12k professional camera lense on your iPhone and use a beastgrip to attach it to a DJI film making gimbal like the SC, or RS. One feature I wish companies like apple, Samsung and Pixel added to their phone from the Sony phone is continuous optical zoom. That would genuinely be a game changer The capture button should also be a touch ID button. The action button should be slightly bigger and do more than just one action for holding the button. It should also have a one click and two click action. Basically the same as the lock button. Hold for siri, one click to lock and double click for the wallet. The action button should also be doing the same thing I also wish apple had more colour options for the pro phones. More vibrant colours and have at least a primary colour. We've had blue and green versions, but never a red one. We need a red pro I hope they bring back the mini but just make a lot less. If they're expecting less sales, just make less. There's still an audience out there that want a small phone A lot of people are planning on skipping this phone as next year the third lens will have 48mp and the front camera will have 24mp and that will be a big change I personally don't think anyone with a 12 or 13 and newer, needs the 16. They should skip it and hope for a design change with new camera layout. I have the 13 pro max and won't get a new one, until a new camera layout. Imagine buying a new phone now after so many years, only for a new design a year later. It'll make your phone feel super outdated

Probably won’t be upgrading my iPhone 14 Pro Max until Apple reduce the size of the Dynamic Island. I think no point getting bigger display on the new iPhone and still have the same Dynamic Island.

Pixel 9pro Xl /Fold is still looking better and I’m currently using an iPhone and had every model.
