It is Zemeckis who got famous for diving too deep into not-yet-ripe CGI shit to make feature movies in 2000s. Result - flops like Beowulf. Why can't he stay with live actors (yeah, hire some young ones, you won't believe it) and do what he could do perfectly, I won't understand

BttF, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Death Becomes Her, Contact and even Forrest Gump are all full of VFX shots that were the best in the industry at that time. To be fair, this is how Zemeckis has always operated. Cast Away's trailer revealed that Chuck gets off the island. However, Zemeckis always insisted that it's a journey. It's not the destination that matters, but the experiences along the way. I don't think that trailer ruined the viewing experience of the film.

@@peterlenham3180 The Irishman often looked okay. But De Niro's de-aged face was out of sync with his obviously old body. The shopkeeper beating scene. De Niro moves like he's, well, 75. Similar problems with de-ageing Samuel L Jackson in Captain Marvel. The face is passably young. The knees are still obviously geriatric.
