The fact that Toni Colette wasn't even nominated for an Oscar made me lose all respect for the Academy awards, just being honest

Collete's performance was incredible. The movie would have been half as good with someone else in that role.

Two things surprised me about this interview. 1. Toni Collette can’t watch scary movies? Her being in one makes it an instant classic. With her track record of The Sixth Sense, Hereditary, and now Velvet Buzzsaw. 2. She’s Australian?

She does an awesome American accent.

It must be so satisfying to watch a film that you've worked on that turns out so good after all the work that went into it.

Am I the ONLY one who knew she was Australian from the start? My introduction to her was Mary and Max, an Australian movie, and I blame it and her for why Australian accents make me slightly morose. It is still my favorite movie, Her with Phillip Seymour Hoffman, a wonderful child actress, and a beautiful richly bittersweet message.

I was covering my face the whole time. From the opening score with that description at the front of the film after A24 and production company logo then that opening shot. Had chills already. What Toni said that’s why I saw it at a matinee.

Incredible performance. The movie was good but Toni made it so so much better than it would have been without her. Scary, intense, and kinda heartbreaking. That poor family.

Toni Collete is Australian, wow? I thought her acting in this was next level amazing - however I did not like this film. The story fumbled itself halfway through.
