I watched Hereditary (by force, my son insisted) and didn't enjoy the movie. What I can't get out of my mind however is her performance. Doing a little research today and am absolutely charmed by this actor, on and off screen. Great work Collette and keep it going!

I sought out this video specifically to hear her natural accent, but I love that this epiphany is the first thing that he brings up with her as well. She's an incredible actress anyway, but her accent range is on par with her acting range! She's such a gem ❤

Oh my god, I absolutely LOVE that show, and she is so perfect in every single role there! Hell, she's perfect in every role elsewhere, too. And her accents are just flawless! Most Aussies (that I know of) tend to slip up here and there, but I've never noticed that with her at all. Not that it matters if they do, I just keep forgetting she's not American because her accent is so perfect.

I didn't want to go to a company conference, so pretended I hurt my leg, but the boss refused point blank to a refusal, even insisting on picking me up and driving me there himself. So I had to bandage my leg (thinking I could sit it out at the back). What he did not tell me was that I had won an award, so then I had to limp all the way from the back to the front of the room in front of everyone, then remember to do the same thing on the way back. He even fetched a chair for me to sit on while I received it. Still burns my cheeks red :} :} :}

I thought I was desensitised to horror movies after watching so many, but as an adult, this movie gave me the same experience watching the exorcist movie gave me when I was a teenager. Incredibly well made, raw and scary without pulling any punches. Amazing performance by Toni and the rest of the cast. 4 years later and I'm still waiting for a horror movie even close to how good hereditary was.

She's excellent in everything she's ever been in, especially her Oscar nominated performance in Sixth Sense, but DAMN she is on another level in Hereditary. The Academy hates horror movies (except when it makes them look woke [Get Out]) but if any performance in a horror film deserves an Oscar it should be her. Easily the best performance of the year thus far ...but my gut says it'll go to Olivia Coleman in The Favourite or Saoirse or Margot for Mary Queen of Scots.
