Just so incredible & tremendously unique, and the perfect harmonies the Brothers Gibb delivered time & time again is amazing.

Chad, I have a question for you. I was born in the 50s, so I grew up with the Bee Gees music. I have been a fan my entire life. My question for you - why are you so drawn to the Bee Gees? What is that one thing about them that has reeled you in? I am so glad you younger folks are keeping their music alive.

Hello, Lynne. WELL... after all the interviews, comedy skits and background strolls down memory lane, I've found they are very down-to-earth, relatable, and humble gentlemen, unlike a lot of the celebrities today. But most of all, their angelic harmonies. None like it.

It's Vince!!!! Beautiful Vince. (your arrow was pointing at Colin BTW) This Sydney concert is my favorite of the "One Night Only" group. He plays three songs with them and then Mo thanks him. My heart my heart! BUT, Robin, sweet Robin. The song has his heart in it. If you think about 1967-68, that's when the "summer of love" happened in San Francisco. It was the destination of the flower power kids. Robin wanted to write a song about being homesick and wanting to go home. In this case, the lyrics made Massachusetts home. They heard it went to Number 1 when they were on stage at "Top of the Pops." They said they don't even know what they sounded like that night. Mo thought it was not their best work LOL. Love this. Thanks Chad.

I’m so glad you’re back and feeling better! I knew you didn’t do your marathon two weeks ago because of Easter and I knew something must’ve been keeping you from doing it last week as well, since you never just skip a week for no reason, but I didn’t know what. Well, now I do. I’m sorry you were sick! I was so happy to see another reaction to multiple performances of another amazing Bee Gees song! I think it sounds absolutely amazing anytime they sang it! My favorite thing they did with this song is the times they’d all hold out that “Ah!” note at the very end of it. I think it’s so beautiful that I always wish they’d always ended the song like that. I love that Vince Melouney was at their 1999 One Night Only concert and that they got him to perform a song they’d recorded while he was a part of the Bee Gees with them! And, I love the silliness between the bros and that Billy Joel was one of the people who called during their Live by Request concert, which was in 2001! I love that concert too! But, I’ve never seen it on DVD, just all there is of it on KZbin, which seems to me to be the entire concert, but I’m guessing isn’t actually, since it’s been released on DVD. I’d love to watch the DVD version sometime! Thanks for, yet, another amazing marathon! I look forward to the next one!

I recently stumbled onto your channel and so glad I did. I have been a Bee Gee fan since the Disco era. I did some research and found they had been singing and writing since childhood. My favorite band of all time. They will always be #1 they are timeless. I love all their voices and harmonies and Barry's falsetto. Talented song writers as well. I have so many favorite Bee Gee songs that I can't pick just one. I enjoyed this reaction video and watching you Chad as you were singing along. Thank you for putting the Bee Gee weekends together brings me back to good memories. I love your channel and watching your first time reactions to the Bother's Gibb, oldies and classics that I grew up listening to. I have so much fun watching the younger generations reactions when they discovery the music of the 60's & 70's. Missing Andy, Maurice, & Robin. Gone but never forgotten. Bee Gee fan forever, from Texas. 💞

Hi Chad!!! awww, our beloved ROBIN... his vulnerable voice, his vibration, his feeling... Robin suffered a lot as Billy Joel reminds him... everyone focused on Barry and they called him "the ugliest"... and he had very bad marriages, not like BARRY...the songs where Robin is the main line, are applauded, it's like you do, that sensation of chills, that penetrates you to the soul...Yes, ROBIN was the first number 1 ..1989 in Melbourne is so exciting how self-conscious it is with the applause and endless screams, like in I started a joke... thank you for loving them without having lived them... for those of us who are 15,20,30 years older than you, they were our greatest worship. Does the arrow point to Colin Peterson? the little blonde was a drummer, but Vince continued with them like Alan Kendall and BLUE himself, they talk in the biopic that meeting, living and making music with them was the most wonderful thing that happened to them and it changed their lives...and they don't lie !! They were a family with everyone who approached... thank you, Chad, thank you KZbin, I had not seen many things or realized that they had done... a big hug!!! , 😊, ❤️😍🥰

It's nice to have you back safe and sound, Chad. This song is never going to get old. You did a great reaction. Thank you for that. But I think it's more the song "I started a joke" that's Robin's signature song. I noticed, by the way, you didn't tag Vince Melouny in the picture, you tagged Colin Peterson. How about a reaction to the song "Trash." It's nothing special. Robin did it for Sesame Street, I think, so it's more of a nursery rhyme, but I think it's cute.

Chad, glad you're "back in the saddle" and feeling better. You got a haircut too! So nice to see Vince again. Their 60's five piece band was tight with Vince and Colin! "Massachusetts", as you know, is literally what saved both Robin's life and The Bee Gees' career since he and Molly splurged due to the success of the song and had first class tickets for the 1967 train wreck. Those who died were in second class coaches. I know you requested 50 likes in order to react to a song. My concern is that some may not know some of their more obscure stuff, especially from their earlier career. I have seen comments in the past like "Oh, I've never heard that song before". Like yourself when you started, some may be unaware of many earlier and later gems. Even some of their Australian performances were gems like "Little band of gold" and some of their fun songs like "Mr Wallor's Wailing Wall", "Craise Finton Kirk" and their "Saving Prince Wally" are a lot of fun! The same is true for other groups like The Kinks, Dave Clark V and others who were huge in the 60's. Hope you change your mind and maybe decide to break your own rule. 😁 Have a great week.

Can you stand one more reference to Vince? I think he feels the same as you about the creativity of the early work. In a 2022 interview he said "there was a lot of soul in the band. We were really into what we were doing... Incredible songs like "Harry Braff," "Birdie Told Me," "Indian Gin And Whiskey Dry," "The Change Is Made," "The Earnest Of Being George." There was a bunch of stuff there that was really "off the wall" and... we had that freedom and at the same time, people liked what we were doing and we became more and more popular. It was quite an adventure, I got to say." He also mentioned when talking about the three brothers that Robin seemed so much more traditionally English than Mo and Barry, except he called them the other "two lads." That sounds a bit English too. LOL

I have two elder brothers +5 and +4 and I never forget when the elder one in 1963 runs in our kitchen to switch on the radio telling to mother „There are the Beatles in the radio“ by the way I was 10 years old. A year later arround they both with friends build a party room in our cellar to held parties with friends and girlfriends on weekends. So I had a chance to get in contact with Pop music from these early years onwards by the discs collected in our cellar and of course radio. Beatles, Stones, Herman Hermits, Beach Boys, Kinks, Manfred Man, there are many many Pop Music artists I have in my mind from the beginning of Pop Music in the 60ties. In 1967 I heard the first time the Bee Gees with Massachusetts and the sound of this song close to the Flower Power „anthem“ from Scott Mc Kenzie - San Francisco - and then the following hit Words catched me to the Bee Gees sound forever. My first concert I visited was from the Bee Gees in Cologne in 1968. Unforgetable the start with NY Mining desaster without lights, absolut darkness in the Cologne Sport halle. the first owned LP i bought was Odessa. A second and Unfortunately last concert I visited was in 1988 in Frankfurt. To see here how the fill stadions with their 2009 tour is amazing, having fandom over 4 decades over the world.

Can I make one more mention of Vince? Please? In about 1976-77 he was working on a couple of new songs. He said he called Barry to work out the ideas and came away with two songs recorded on a cassette. Vince said Barry invited him over to work on the music and he was also so happy to see Mo and his family. He had been waiting for an opportunity to release, and last year "Let It Ride" finally came out. Vince is playing with some serious guitar chops on this energized recording. I'm going to include a YT link. The Band is Called "Tall Poppy Syndrome." Vince plays lead guitar, and the drummer is from "Blondie." kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4HKh6Gnlr-gjNU
