Congrats on the new setup! It’s cleans and I’m digging the size! Have a look at the led strips I put on mine, you can cut them to size and they can plug into that USB power strip. Take care!

I love your kit and am building one but I have a challenge with power supply, I would like to build a case that can be used in places as remote and off the power grid. would you consider advising us on a rechargeable battery or a portable power generator that can be used in the kit to provide power .

When plugging into a venue's network, how do you resolve the fixed IP assigned to the ATEM TV Studio HD with the DHCP addresses automatically assigned by the venue's router?
@heretorecord2 жыл бұрын
I have my own router built into the system - that way I have full control over my internal IP address and can still connect to the wider internet also

do you recommend put the xlr audio cables at atem? Is it possible to sync audio this way?
@heretorecord4 жыл бұрын
I recommend plugging into the camera where possible. The audio coming into your ATEM via XLR will most likely arrive before the video (perhaps only by a small amount but maybe even a lot). If you have an audio delay function on your outputting audio device then you may want to use that.

You said you just plug the audio into the camera. Are you plugging in line input stereo Left right from a mixer or microphone. If microphones how do you get the audio panned center and not hard left and hard right on each mic?
@heretorecord6 жыл бұрын
This camera in particular has a setting to change the audio from stereo to mono which is really nice. You could likely use a two XLR setup through instead which I use on another camera. Just keep the audio level the same for both inputs

Here to Record Have you tried the BM Web Presenter? What do you think of it?
@heretorecord7 жыл бұрын
I have not tried it yet. My main concern is that I’m still tied to a computer for streaming. I’ll also be interested to see if they bring out an updated one this year!
@marty2x17 жыл бұрын
Here to Record If they bring a new one out tomorrow it will take at least 6 months to a year to iron out all the bugs! I’d read that the Web Presenter had a few problems when it first came out but most had been sorted now. It would be nice to watch a decent review..hint hint!
@evy.agency47206 жыл бұрын
We use one - in fairness we were late to the party and installed latest firmware the day we bought it (maybe September/August last year) and it's been absolutely faultless. It's a shame you're limited to 720p out. Appreciate the reasons behind it but it's the only thing I can think that's problematic. The form factor is great for rack mounting. The menu is intuitive and detailed. Build quality is good. It gets a little warm but nothing to worry about. But yes, if they brought a new one out this year with a few improvements I'd jump on it, bugs and all.

I was wondering if you routed your video signal Cam In to Switch, Switch Program to Monitor, Monitor to Hyperdeck? I mean, what is that Right side monitor outputting a signal to except to the Hyperdeck? Very nice little compact setup by the way. I really like it. Great video as well.
@heretorecord6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words! I would personally go Switcher>HyperDeck>Monitor - that way you can be sure that the monitor is showing exactly what being recorded. That way if there are any weird issues that pop up, I can spot them right away. If the HyperDeck shuts down for some reason I’ll be able to spot it a lot faster if the right monitor goes black all of a sudden.
@Wysiwyg1016 жыл бұрын
Well, that's how I would do it too. However, I'm just curious as to what you have coming out of the output of Monitor 2 and where that signal is being routed to.

Hey there! Thanks a lot for making this video as well as all the others on your channel. They have been incredibly helpful! I’ll be sure to use your Amazon links when I figure out what exactly I need to purchase. I have an off topic question: What are your thoughts on using your current streaming kit versus something like the Sling Studio? If you were starting from scratch, would you consider something like the Sling Studio or would you still go the more traditional route, i.e. your Blackmagic setup? Any thoughts you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
@heretorecord6 жыл бұрын
Glad your finding the videos useful! Personally I’d avoid the sling studio as I much prefer everything to be connected via cables. If I started over again I would still go for Blackmagic gear as it really fits my needs!

Hinges are too big and ugly, you could have used slimmer hinges for metal, those kind of are for wood panels.
@heretorecord2 жыл бұрын
The tricky thing is though that when you put it in a case and bring it around the country/continent it ends up taking a beating along the way. Better to opt for bigger hinges that will last.
@Capturing-Memories2 жыл бұрын
@@heretorecord It doesn't take more beating than the luggage hinges which are way smaller than what you have, Just make sure you glue in rubber pad on the top corners of the monitor to protect it from shock when it's fully closed.
