Drumstick is adorable! I learned with rabbits that it didn't matter to me what we named them - even the food names - they became pets at that point. I would no more have willingly eaten Migas, Dinner, Caserole, or Hasenpfeffer than I would have one of our dogs. I made a decision to Not Name the flock, unless there was a reason where they would not be on the dinner table as far as I could predict. The geese have names, Genghis, Ginger, Mary-Anne, Iris, and Big Goose 2.0, and a few select chickens who have managed to be excellent and stand out in a good way. Swamp Rabbit, Redcap, and Hattie all have places in the coop until they pass as naturally as chickens can. Drumstick is probably one of the best advertisements I've seen to get a turkey chick. Adorable balls of feathers and peep! Thank you for sharing.
