I have been taking it for about a year and noticed a difference pretty fast - I don't eat beef due to a cholesterol problem, So I am the type of person Dr Axe talked about - plant based diet for the most part. So I felt I needed it and my skin looks good and hair too. Nails grow fast. I don't have as many joint aches as I did. I take a heart medication that can cause some joint pain and I have never felt it. Maybe due to taking collaged. I did load up in the beginning since I knew I must be really deficient. But now I take 3 tbsp in a morning shake that I make. I would use it more but due to the cost, I cant re-purchase more than once a month at most. Hope this helps. God bless you.

I took that statement to mean in a biological way - our bodies need certain things, we are made of bone and flesh etc.
