Thank you again! From a vanity/beauty standpoint this is pretty huge... but for overall internal health, and especially for my orthopedic health and my JOINTS! I’ve always had sensitive knees and I’m not looking forward to and want to avoid as much as possible any worsening of my joint issues. So- on the one hand I want to be more active- but it’s really honestly difficult even though I’m still young in my early 30’s- if you have any orthopedic issues and your joints like your feet, knees, hips, back, neck ? If you have any real issues or pain- which most people do- it can be legitimately limiting. So, besides me doing what I can as far as yoga, stretching, and foam rollering..... I didn’t know what else I could do to address just the natural aging process of the body’s ability to basically lubricate itself and stay...more juicy and bouncy and be able to cushion itself from impacts- I wasn’t sure what can be done about that so this new research is really exciting! I’m already taking an Omega supplement, and I try to do all the regular big things like hydrate or get enough rest in order to repair. Anyway! I’ve also heard good things about glucosamine- chondriton (sp?) supplements for joint health. But I still think this new piece is a really important and helpful one.

That makes sense. The asian culture is obsessed with real bone broth that’s boiled slowly with tons of bones for hours. So its probably another reason why Asians have such great skin. I’ve noticed Growing up that American soups don’t emphasize the quality broth part as much. Many soup recipes call for a supermarket can of broth which in my opinion is just salty water. Real bone broth is going to turn into aspic when it cools due to all that collagen in there.

i have tried turmeric and collagen separately and each one is so incredible for joint health ,i really dont feel my age anymore. my arms used to make a very loud clicking sound when my arms moved and i dont get that sound as much as i used too because i use collagen and glucosomine vitamins every day.

My brother ordered me some collagen and I was surprised that my joints were feeling less stiff and less pain. I grew up with joint problems and always had grinding in them, mainly my shoulders. I am really considering buying it frequently.

After sweating profusely on my first and only shift in a warehouse a couple weeks ago, I believe what you said in your other recent collagen video about dehydration and minerals. Coincidentally, I took a popular type 1 & 3 collagen supplement (6 tablets/day) and vomited lots of clear liquid the next morning. I'll rehydrate with a clean product named Daylyte and order your collagen complex. I'm a flexitarian like our ancestors. Gratitude to you.

It wasn't the collagen supplement! I eliminated things, narrowed the vomiting down to an adverse reaction of Ultram/Tramadol.

I put fresh ginger, turmeric, black pepper, cream of tartar (potassium), cayenne pepper, 1tbsp raw garlic & nutritional yeast, 8oz organic chicken bone broth, nuke for 90 seconds, add 1 tbsp spirulina. It's the first thing I eat everyday and I feel amazing when I have it.

He actually sells some in his online store. It is also sold at Ulta beauty stores where I just bought some. I got the vanilla flavor. It’s called Ancient nutrition if you look it up on Ulta website. There are quite a few different flavors- chocolate and strawberry lemonade are on there I believe.

I just re-ordered collagen powder and bone broth from Dr. ask today I haven’t been taking it regularly or consistently but just thought I should, even having no knowledge of all that’s been taught here. And now as I listen especially about the disc issue I’ve been out of work now for almost 3 weeks with a herniated disc, at least the surgeon is saying surgery is not recommended but I’m scheduled for shots in my back next week and I am so excited to hear this, I had no idea about collagen and discs or anything so I am feeling like God let me hear praise the Lord.

Very informative. Thank you for taking the time to explain the losing process and it’s benefits. I recently started using collagen peptides powder and I’m starting to note changes in my skin texture. I can’t wait to take it three times a day and notice the difference.

Hey Dr. Josh Axe I have a protruding disc in my lower lumbar region from a deadlifting injury will collagen really help with fixing it. I also believe my femoral artery is always getting affected too. I feel pain usually in my hips to side of left leg and curves up to the top of my knee cap. Chiropractor and acupuncture never helped. I hope collagen will, I’ve been taking 30grams of collagen a day like you recommend for about 2 weeks now so we’ll see the results in a month or so. 🙏🙏

Can we also talk about side effects. I had my first serving yesterday and within 20 minutes I was so nauseous and felt extreme fatigue. It past after a couple of hours but I can't imagine having a serving 3x a day.

Hey Leigh, this isn't a normal occurrence, you may have a sensitivity to one of the ingredients. I would recommend reaching out to your local healthcare professional, sharing the supplement facts, and determining what's best for you and your diet. As always, Ancient Nutrition customer service is available here: 1-855-713-2136

@@drjoshaxe Thank you. I read something about combining calcium supplements and collagen leading to adverse effects. Yesterday I didn't take my calcium, magnesium and vit D supplement, had a smaller dose of collagen (I take marine collagen from salmon), mixed in with porridge, and I seemed ok.

It could’ve been a response from a deficient body. I load up a large capsule with ground ginger. It stops nausea. It happened the 2nd or 3rd day of collagen loading. It stopped.

Thanks so much for the details Dr Axe. I have been struggling with healing post being hit and ran over by a van years ago. I will try collagen loading for at least 30 days. Ps. I was vegan (20 years) prior to the accident so will probably need to do loading for months to replenish my body.
