But were they fighting togheter with the fallschirmjägers or were they fighting as fallschirmjägers at Market Garden? You don't say anything about that?

So they were SS lite?

Hardly, they were the least geared up, least experienced and most undertrained troops with the lowest morale in the whole of the German military. I guess telling airmen to start fighting on the ground suddenly was not such a great idea, also refusing army officers to train. They got obliterated in every “battle” and often times just ran away. This was unacceptable of course so what was left of them I believe in 1942/43 was placed under the army leadership to actually be trained by ground troops officers instead of airmen lol and while most of the units got wiped out, the few that held on eventually got battle hardened and fared well in quite a few places. They did have one of the coolest uniforms though out of all the German military.

Yeah Hermann Goering wasn't the brightest.

@@mattkacarIQ ≠ Smart decision making He was quite intelligent and charming yes, but his economic policy and luftwaffe command was abysmal. Many funds and assets were stolen from victims of Nazism and instead of it feeding Germany‘s population, it funded Görings festivities and lavish lifestyle

Dude was a genius actually, he was hooked on morphine after getting wounded in ww1 (as an ace mind you) and when he got off when in jail he was so bright that he nearly got away Scott free from his cunning intellect

@@anglishbookcraft1516 Not really, he stretched out his process, but that was on a huge part because the prosecutor, justice Jackson, did a bad job by asking stupid/vague questions and letting Goering ramble for minutes. Once the prosecutor got replaced and that one doing an actually decent job, he was screwed
