The nether section needs some glowstone hanging from the ceiling and some magma blocks. Also, it needs more netherrack. The arches should be completely nether brick, and look sort of manufactured and unnatural, like the nether fortresses.

Marcelo Vanhoof there are two things that would make this not work, 1: the water would give the guardians a second place to spawn making the guardian farm less efficient 2: the guardians would kill the squids

Wayne Chua but the whole point of the squids is for them to die, so the guardians would just make it quicker to harvest their ink

For lighting you should specify it to the area like torches for the cave Redstone lamps for the redstone area Glowstone blends in with the wood in the wood section Jack'o'lanterns under leaves for the organic area Lava and or fire for nether

Suggestions for Mumbo!! 1. Add some height variation on the floor. (Like stairs or even slabs). It looks a bit bland at the moment. 2. For the redstone section, add some comparators, or repeaters on the floor. 3. For the stone section, change the floor to more of a coarse dirt and stone to differentiate it from the greenery section. You could also add a mineshaft entrance somewhere in there. (Just a small fake entrance with black concrete at the end to mimic darkness, not a full mineshaft lol) 4. For the​ precious section, add a pile of precious blocks. So that it's more distinguishable cause the stone and precious stuff sections look kind of the same. 5. For the greenery section, put vines and bone meal the floor for flowers and grass 'cause it's greenery duh. Add some hay bale, pumpkin, and melon stacks. Or even crops. 6. For the miscellaneous section, add the emblems of the desert temple to the walls or floor to add some interest to it. (using sandstone, maybe?) 7. For the nether section, add some fire and lava flowing down, and some quartz ore or even full blocks. Use netherrack and magma blocks too. You can even add a mini nether fortress idk. (just a small one poking out of the wall, if you can fit it). 8. You said you're gonna add an ice section so what happened to it? haha. And also, why didn't you add a sand section? Like so Mumbo can see.

Personally, I think the precious ore pile could be a bit expensive, and the mineshaft and nether fortresses could overcomplicate the place. The rest of the tips are great, though!

I love this idea and have a few suggestions for the different rooms. The Greens/ Harvest room could use some haystacks, melons, pumpkins, flowers, actual plants growing in the ground, and a small waterfall. You could break up the colors in the Nether room with Brewing Stands, Cauldrons, Mushrooms, and maybe a pillar of lava. The red in the Colors room just seems a little overwhelming. The Miscellaneous room would look better with just random blocks like jukeboxes, furnaces, observers, enchantment tables, etc. Have fun building! :D

Toss some wheat growing in the harvest room for sure! I think nether could use some quarts and even some orange/yellow (justified by blaze) As far as the miscellaneous, I'm not a huge fan of the orange but I don't have a great alternative. Maybe a modern-ish design?

Use some coarse dirt for the grass floor. In the nether section, you could also add lava falling from the wall and soul sand. Dont be scared to make it dark, redstone lamps look best with nether themes. It is looking epic though!

Must say, I'm very impressed with this! I would never have made something so grand ^.^ Just a few suggestions to *hopefully* improve it a bit 1. Add redstone torches in the redstone area. 2. Include lava and magma bricks in the nether 3. Put moss in the mob drops and also try to trap some mobs (*NOT CREEPER! YOU SPOON!*) into parts of it, test this in Creative to see if it looks good. Or hide them under the floor for sound effects. Make sure to name them if you do 4. Use bonemeal on the greenery area 6. Subscribe to Mumbo Jumbo and make sure to tell him that he has improved his building skills. 5. Try to fit in the snow/ice and end areas if you can or want to. That or else make an armor/tools room. Not sure what that would like though xD 7. You read that 6 as a 5 8. You just went back to che... never mind I'm gonna stop there before I waste your time xD

Great tips! Also, I think the greenery area could use some vines hanging down from the ceiling, and the precious materials section could use more ores, to further visually distinguish it from the adjacent stone area. Oh, and the miscellaneous section looks fine, but if Mumbo later decided that he wanted to change it, another option would be to fill each surface with random, unrelated blocks. Personally, I think it would look quite cool, and it would be clearer what the category is when you walk into the room.

If im allowed to give some constructive criticism. But before that I'd like to say that this project is by far the smartest and coolest Idea on the Hermitcraft server, in my opinion of course. Now I dont completely know what you imagined and because i cant read minds you should just take the suggestions I make that fit your original idea and throw everything else away. - You could use alot of fire in the Nethersection, this would give a better contrast to the multicolorsection. And also would give it its own stile, because as it is now it looks a bit like it is a part of the multicolor one and also doesnt feel special (because it is similar to the redstonesection) - You could make the Multicolorsection looking like a rainbowland, like take it over the top of brightness ad color, again giving it its own style. (If you dont want to change the nethersection this change could also fix the previous stated problem) - including some special sections might break up the Cavestyle it has right now. Like a section for the End and a section with Richlooking blocks like quarz. - the end could have a ground of lightbrown and yellow blocks like in the end, with a ceiling of Black concrete or other extreme black blocks. If endrods are surrounded by black blocks It could almost look like stars. - the section of quarzblocks could be extremely small but really high, giving a similar feeling like in a tower. (this breakup of the normal trend would increase the special Identity each section has) Now again, this are just some Ideas that could also give you your own Inspiration. If anything doesnt fit in your Idea of the Project then leave them be.

Add some fire, netherwarts, soul sand, and some magma blocks to the nether section. You could also add cobwebs and mob heads to the mob drop section. You could also add some melons, pumpkins, haybales, and long grass to the farming section. The stone section, change the floor to dirt, course dirt, pathways, etc, to make it more different from the farming sections. You could add some extended pistons, lamps, or torches turning on and off in the redstone section

Since you were looking for ideas for the misc room, I have one, not sure if it's good but here it is :pUse crafting tables, furnaces, enchantment tables, bookshelves, anvils, jukeboxes etc. To make it, it would fit in more with the style as the acacia and sandstone would probably go in the other rooms if I'm right. This has been one of...no it has been my favorite episode of hermitcraft so far! I love watching you design things. Could you maybe do a series where you design things? Like have twitter send you ideas like a castle underwater or a treetop farm, ya know things like that. I love watching things get built in minecraft, that is one reason i started watching your redstone tutorials. My input for the storage rooms though, put some nether rack or quartz in the nether room and use a block that isn't so bright to break up the orange color of the misc room. Keep up the good work Mumbo! I love your videos!

suggestions for the storage area: 1. *stone room* - some water coming out of the walls, like litte creeks; also, change the floor to coarse dirt, mycelium, and normal dirt - so it won't be so similar to greenery room. 2. *greenery room* - add melons, pumpkins, cocoa beans, grass, so it is more relatable 3. *nether room* - add magma on the walls and also lava "river" beneath the [glass] floor. 4. *precious room* - don't be cheap. use some solid blocks too :) 5. *colourfull room* - change the red area to green, as it is too close to nether area, which is full red. just adding some variety in the colour pallete I hope Mumbo sees this comment, and if you think my ideas are good, like it so se have a bigger chance Mumbo will see it!

Ideas: - Stacks of gold block and golden pressure plates in the treasure room! (It's looking a little too grey..) - Use carpets to give the floor a bit of depth and then you can also use them to hide the glow stone ;) - Change the red area of the colored blocks room to green, this way it'll be easier to distinguish the two rooms! (The red part looks a lot like the nether room, and it's easy to mix them together) - Add some vines to the greenery room - Use dead bushes on the red sand to decorate the orange room - Use grass, tall grass and ferns to add a bit of detail to the stone room - Use a mix of slabs and stair in the floor of the mob drop room, to make it look less flat - Add anvils and cauldrons to the mob room for decoration, the darker grays will contrast nicely with the lighter grays of the stone! All I could think of right now :P

Glowstone in the nether

For the redstone section of the storage area, put in some flashing redstone lamps and randomly activating pistons to make it seem more mechanical and redstone-y! I think the storage area needs a section for the end dimension, even though it might be really small, it will look nice! And the nether area I think would look nice as a natural cave in the nether, made of netherrack and nether quartz ore, with some patches of soul sand/magma blocks and pillars of glowstone! Other than that, the storage area looks great! Even Grian could learn from you ;)

Hey Mumbo, so proud of you for trying to build something like that, it's a very cool idea =D Some suggestions tho : - For the crops section, I would use bricks so you don't use as much wood and leave it for the wood section, and also path blocks to not repeat the grass too much ^^ Or even actual farmland with a lil' bit of wheat here and there - For the nether section, why not using netherrack, slow sand, glowstone, lava, .... stuff you find in the nether ? xD - For the coloured section, don't use red in it cuz it looks too much like the redstone section, you have a lot of other colors to use ^^ - For the dungeon section, SKULLS !!

I agree with all of these ideas! The greenery section seems to have too much wood in it like the wood section, so that should be changed, and adding small farms and flowers in it would also be nice. The valuable area also seems a bit too grey so maybe gold blocks or other ore blocks could be added. In the nether section he should use more stuff found in the nether, and add lava and fire to make it more special. In the colored section I think he should add like a rainbow and maybe remove the red, and skulls in the dungeon section is a great idea. The misc section could use some changes but i'm not sure what.

SUGGESTIONS FOR MUMBO: 1. For the miscellaneous and nether sections you need some extra color to break up the solid orange/red 2. Maybe add some fire, lava, and soul sand in the nether section 3. For the miscellaneous section just add some cool blocks that don't belong anywhere else, some dirt/ podzol/ ice I'm not quite sure 4. The colorful section is great but replace the red part of it with a different color, you already have too much red in the build and its right next to the very red nether section, it doesn't fit 5. For the plants/farm section add some crops, ex. Wheat, a pond with sugar cane, watermelon, pumpkin Overall: awesome video!!! Like if u agree with my suggestions so mumbo can see

1. The Nether really needs some lighting. I would do a lava floor 2. Not a fan of the Miscellaneous section. No ideas how you can improve it. 3. The grass in the Greenery and Stone section needs some vegetation (also, glowstone under leaves)

For the nether part , red/purple stained glass or nether brick fence helps too. The stained glass can allow u to see the lava if you want it.

First of all I want to say I love your videos and I enjoyed this planning in creative episode a lot! I want to make some suggestions I think you might like considering: I loved the theme you created but I felt that the nether area right there in the middle kind of breaks the mood and feels a little bit out of place imho. So I think you might reconsider the order of the caves you are making. My suggestion here is that you might put the nether area along the mob drops and add an end zone after the nether one following the same theme (dungeon+nether+end). It should give and keep a good mood along the right side like that, making it themed like the more adventure part of minecraft all together. Then you can put the colorful blocks area next to the wood one and do the misc area next to it so it will be at the end of the left side. This way that transitions should look brighter on that side and will have a much similar mood (more like construction blocks, etc.). Adding to that, you could consider also maybe making more like a tools & trophy area (even if its not automatically sorted) in the beginning, so you have quick acces to tools and all that stuff and also have a nice place to put your mementos. This last idea can be a regular room at the entrance of your base that has your bed and all I said before (that will be a manual storage area with all the basics) and has accest to both left and right sides of the storage caves along with an accest to the guardian farm in the front, you know? So it will be more like in the middle, having quick accesss to blocks, wood, redstone, etc on the left, access to mob drops and all the greenery on the right and the guardian farm in the front for drops and XP. Idk it feels like a logic distribution to me. Idk is just an idea I think it can look awesome and super cool! If you people like that idea, bump this comment so Mumbo can see! Keep the good work BUMBO!! :D

For the nether section, netherrack, fire and lava would definitely help against the darkness, and some kind of light source (end rods?) might brighten up the colorful section, which would IMHO also benefit from some wool or concrete.

Here are some ideas i have in mind. 1. Add a tiny waterfall to the stone area. 2. Add a lava lake to the nether section. 3. For the underwater/prismarine section - have a small glass archway which is surrounded with water( like a sea tunnel with transparent walls ) (make sure gaurdians don't spawn there.) 4. Decorate the miscellaneous section with mob heads. 5. Place armour stands with the 4 different armours in the colourful section ( just a random idea) like so that mumbo can see :-)

Finally got around to watching this, if you haven't figured out how to fix up the nether area, add a glowstone stalactite. Should break up the oppressive red, also some soulsand on the walls might help, and more netherrack, you have too much nether brick going on methinks.
