Mumbo I know that I can't speak for everyone that watches your videos, but I feel that a large number of them will agree with me here. It is 100% okay if you cannot get an episode out on time. It seems like every couple episodes in recent times you talk about how pushed for time you are with making them and it seems like it's somewhat stressful for you. I would much rather you take care of yourself and not be under loads of stress than work super hard and be stressing out in hot weather just to get a video out when you said you would. Like I said before I cannot speak for all of your viewers, but ones that care about you will agree that you having personal time & not being stressed is more important than us having content to view.

Hey Mumbo, an idea for adding aesthetic to your base. You could build shipwrecks just outside of the wall of water so that you can see them from inside the base. Maybe light them up a bit.

Timmzy27 I could be wrong, but I think it is anything with an output. Something about the game knows there is nothing there for the hopper to accept, but I could be wrong. Furnaces are recommended I think, as of the things that help they are the cheapest/easiest to craft.

I have no 100% facts myself but I heard that although furnaces do reduce lag from the hopper they create a little lag themselves but less than a hopper so it is worth doing, whereas a dropper causes very little lag in comparison to a furnace. Droppers are slightly more expensive however it is only substituting 1 cobblestone for a piece of redstone dust in the crafting side of things.

Furnaces are ticking block entities. It would be better to use droppers as they also have only 1 inventory slot but they don't need updating unless they are powered.

at school i put my email in. when i did that my minecraft face thing popped up when i opened google. people always said "uhh u play minecraft ewe ur weird". one time a "popular kid" saw it and said hey, is that a minecraft thing? i said no because i was embarrassed to say i played it because of them people. but this guy said i think minecraft is cool. Theale who cares. People use his designs all the time. Mumbo has an entire series dedicated to creating redstone contraptions. Did you see the lock cube? And Tango did not design the storage room aesthetics. Also, Tango is a redstone genius too! Who wouldn't be able to rely on the effectiveness of a Tango build? I know that last season, Mumbo built an awesome base. And this season, he's building a badass base. And I look forward to all the future bases even if they have other people's machines in them.

Hm, I see your point about the stuff you enjoy. But, I got few real, "hardcore" friends, and loads and loads of "friends" i just hang out with and go to parties with. If that large group ever, ever finds out about me being some Minecraft addict acting like a cat on the internet, I will be invited to way, way, way less parties. I like parties. I like minecraft. The party-friends dont HAVE to know I do this. Im living a double life. If you have something with storage above hopper, the hopper doesn't check for items(entities) to suck in, thus reducing lag.

Tip: apparently, if you top off all of your hoppers (that are open on the top) with furnaces, it cuts down the lag, because furnaces have their own inventory, so the hoppers aren't constantly checking above themselves. I've heard that several times from several people's videos (Impulse comes to mind). Another tip (and I only just recently learned this myself): sand replaces lava. And it falls to the bottom of lava lakes. :) Apparently concrete powder and gravel do the same, but sand is usually cheaper (depending on how easy your access is to a desert).

Mumbo, if you place a furnace on top of a hopper, it will stop "searching" the open space above it and instead look for updates from the furnace above it and will reduce lag dramatically. Any block with an inventory will help reduce, but furnace is the cheapest. Also because of this, any hoppers with a hopper above it also are fine. The only hoppers that cause lag are hoppers without an inventory directly above it.

Mumbo there were a couple spoon moments: turning lava to obsidian and mining it, when you can delete it by dropping gravel in, and mining quartz for an hour getting way more than you need and wasting time for the rest of the recording

I really enjoy surfing as well, guess where I live. Answer: The Nevada desert. Inconvenient to just go out surfing, but I still enjoy it. The time limits do seem to help you out quite a lot.

On the topic of hobbies, I play Ice hockey but I live in South Carolina, so much like Mumbo I find myself in a very inconvenient location to do what I love. I would find myself driving the 2 hour drive to Charlotte or the 1 and a half hour drive to Columbia just for a practice. And many people found it strange or even stupid that I would play hockey instead of doing girly things like shopping or wearing preppy clothing. But I was able to get noticed and now I play for a prep school in New York and finally get to do what I love with out the side ways glances and inconveniences of playing a very northern sport in a very southern and middle of nowhere state!

Hey Mumbo, my hobby is Ski Racing...I live in Toronto now but when I lived in New York when I was young my family drove 5 hours every other weekend to Vermont to ski. It was so amazing and I fell in love with Skiing. When my family moved to Toronto I decided to try to race, its a bit expensive but my parents supported me. I ended up getting quite good at it and am now winning races for my age group (16 y/o) in both the US and Canada. It has changed how I live, I workout regularily and am in great shape, I've also met some great people along the way. Surfing is a pretty dope hobby tbh, I've done a bit of it but you can't surf anywhere near Toronto. Always great to hear about hobbies. Nice Videos!

Mumbo, you can place furnaces on top of your hoppers to reduce lag (in your case quite possibly tremendously) because it keeps the hoppers from checking above for items. I found this out when watching one of Etho's recent videos if you need a reference!

For the the Redstone thing about having too much chests, have 1 for repeaters, 1 for redstone, 1 for torches and so on, you probably wouldn't fill up any of them but it makes it even more organised and at least your using the chests
