It seems like you will be able to use cauldrons to collect lava from stalactites with a lava block above their base, but Xisuma couldn't get it to work in his snapshot video. As far as I know it hasn't been officially announced either. My original post was a bit hyperbolic on that point. Edit: By sheer coincidence Mumbo just released a video in which he got it working. Apparently it's just terribly slow with one cauldron.

Litteraly every Hermit builds a megabase, a giant hollow superawesome looking structure, filled with... well... ...air and scaffolding blocks. Then they decide to make their base useful and liveable, and what do they do? Digging a giant hole underground to put in a too small sorting system and don't even use the building how they once told. Why? 😑 Actually, not every Hermit builds like this, but here's a list of which I know for sure: Grian (no doubt) Mumbo (got at least redstone inside the closed part of his central base, but still dug out a hole to put his sorter in) Iskall (Why did he dug a hole to fill it with diamonds again😠😁) False (well, for the user, her base is practically... not practical) Scar (I forgive him to not put awesome things in his masterpieces of minecraft survival building, he is such a adorable person) And here are the hermits which are using their megabuilds to make them rightfully be called a "base": Cub. no excuse. Keralis (got at least some function and farms, and now even a storage system) Impulse (his plan is actually to fill his base with farms) Xisumavoid (well, almost every single tower feature a farm or a direct use) And then there are: Bdubs (well hes lacking on high tech big farms and symmetrical organized contraptions, but, I really like his way of building, although I could never build as good as him. He's a genius!) And then there is Etho. Well, what can I say but AMAZING! This is a very interesting base, and on some sides (insides) very beautiful and built with unconvenient blocktype and -colour decicions, featuring lots of very interesting and cool contraptions. He may be my most liked hermit, directly followed by Xisuma, and then Scar, undoubtedly. I like every single hermit, and watch most of them. An awesome server!

For anyone else building an Explodificator 9000: All the dispensers need to fire ON THE SAME TICK. This ensures that the tnt will explode right where it lands and not get blown anywhere. This makes it use much more redstone, but is 100% safe.
