Going for mining trips into flooded caves is the most profitable ( if you didn’t know ) finding air decreses the chance of spawning big ores of diamonds ( well that is what ive concluded, not 100% sure but flooded caves have much more resources )

This is because water doesn't count so it encurages dive caving (dive mining is the swim mode 1x1 tunnel trick Xisuma loves) Also caving will still tend to be faster overall. The point of mining is to expose blocks to seach for resources, so if we consider blocks exposed per unit time (lets say per hour on average) then in a cave its about how fast you expose viens to light so you can see them, theoretically night vision and elytra in a big cave is the fastest. (Obviously we should weight the blocks per second with the vien sizes, but i suspect caving is still fastest on average by alot)
@RekaCath2 жыл бұрын
@@jasonreed7522 Honestly, I'm not really noticing that much of a difference in efficiency, I can just spend a lot more time caving before I start considering it tedious. The downside being that you get lost a lot more easily in caves.

If you want to go caving for diamonds, go into the “noodle” caves which are the original thinner ones.

@jasonreed75222 жыл бұрын
Coal and iron do have insane rates at higher Y levels, but with the lack of blocks up there its hard to say. But Grian going to a Stony Peaks biome (peaks for hot biomes, they don't have snow) and mining all the visible coal and iron in sunlight is definitely one of the easiest ways to mine them. (And probably the objective best way to get coal) Iron can also be gotten from ore vein structures (tuff, raw ore blocks, deepslate iron) in great abundance but perhaps more effort. And of course iron farms are great but have a high upfront cost for effortless iron later.

Hear me out, being that caving is much deeper and when you are down there you tend to run out of inventory fast wouldn't it be cool if they had a overworld solution to shulker boxes ? Maybe an uncraftable backpack you can only find in chest in the world and it would function the same as horse armor in that you can find different tier types of backpack. Maybe the best is one full row of inventory that way it isn't OP ?

That way it still makes shulker boxes the go to when you want to carry lots of items. You Cant craft it but you can store whatever you wanted in it. I would also love to see quivers with the same sort of system but max tier only holds 3 stacks of arrows because it would make mending more worth using on a bow/ crossbow.
