Hermitcraft 9: Decked Out 2 Awakens! (Episode 94)

Decked Out 2 runs! Today on Hermitcraft we see Decked Out, Tango's multilevel dungeon crawler open at last. We decorate our alcove, and try our hand at a few runs into the dungeon itself!

Loved documenting the fail in the book. You should add a library to the 'waiting' room and set up dispensers in the floor so everyone always has a book on hand and contribute naturally.

I hope Decked Out is treated like a standalone game that deserves as much attention as if it was its own Let's Play series. It's an amazing game that will last weeks, strategies will be diverse and you 22-ish people are the only people in the world with access to it, with hundreds of thousands of people eager to see every moment of it. Good or bad runs, doesn't matter. Just do you, have fun. My vote is for full runs, especially the first week. Good luck!

I loved watching this live from Tango's view and the replay from your point of view! The beginning seems to be extra tricky since every passageway looks so similar! Pork Chop Energy! This is my first time seeing it being built, learning the rules and watching it from the start, so I am hooked as much as you Hermits!! Make the most of every single berry bush you see! CUBE!! I have a little sister game to total chaos. Its called, "Dripstone Drop"! It plays like spleff but more deadly and played over multiple layers. For set up, you use vines on a solid block, put a carpet over that, then replace the vines with drip stone. Ideally, four small and one large big event arena. I was thinking three layes per tube or arena, but you could easily make it more or less if you want. More floors and larger areas the longer it is to set up. I thought that it would be a good way for spleffers to not only bring those above down to there level but also get a bit of damage off on someone else coming after them. Hoes with moss carpet for faster play times. Alternatively shears and color coded carpets for some flare. I color coded my text world. I haven't tried it with a group yet, but I think it could be fun. Also, amythist buds for floating magic briges, roots for a more down to earth feeling floating path, glowberries for some hanging fun or vines of the Vinyard feel. Just some fun building ideas you can share with the others discovered at the same time. For some reason moss carpet over vines next to pathnock just feels like sneaky passageways. Hope you and the hermites enjoy! Will keep pestering about Dripstone drop as I feel it belongs next to big brother, total chaos. Oh and before I forget, leather boots + becon with regen on makes fun vertical maze of the powder snow kind. Haven't thought of a good name for it yet. Did have fun with my test world small scale version. You could even make small rooms as a way to take a break from the powdwe snow and re establish your berrings of where in the maze you are. Added; just remembered playing with amythist buds. Stage 2 you can swim by berarly. Stage three you can't nor can you duck under them.

Hey Cub, I don't know if you are done with adding things to the museum, but after watching Decked Out streams I got some ideas that could work: 1) a small compas training area, for example a little maze under the DO Tower in the museum with few lodestones, so Hermits can get random compas and test their skills and learn to navigate better; 2) a replica of the River of Souls. After Sunday runs I think that location turned out to be very difficult for almost everyone, claiming many pure Souls in the process. A way to practice those soulsand jumps could be very beneficial. 3) Ravager training grounds - a small area with a ravager or two and some pillars for hermits to hone their juking skills and make themselves more comfortable in the presence of those gentle beasts.

I definitely spied that sign, too. can't wait to see what that's about! Someone else mentioned, but I think it's worth repeating: I think having a TCG arena in Decked Out would be a lot of fun! something like a boss battle, ala vs Evil X, but vs the Dungeon Master. I'm sure Tango would voice some sinister lines, as he already does, gleefully, for the dungeon itself. something to think about!! great video, can't wait for more!

Hey Cub... to go along with your Victory Records Book.. An idea that would be very cool to see after DO2 is over... Write Down WHICH Artifact you Successfully Relinquished for each run. A kind of "Gotta Catch Em All" kinda thing, it might be a cool little detail to keep track of.

I agree with you. Run level 1 a bunch until you successfully complete it multiple times, ie. don't start level 2 difficulty until you have at least 4 of each of the basic 3 cards (Clank block, Hazard block, and Treaure Hunter) with maybe 2 or 3 Frost Seekers although these don't seem to be as necessary as survival early on with the basic 3 help with as well as more key drop chances for level 2 runs
