It's far from over yet, this is the end of the main competition but tango has said he wants to do multi person runs or minigames like hide and seek or capture the flag, plus he intends to give tours, do a technical breakdown for redstone people and a full post mortem on various mechanics/choices/etc, there's still much much more to come!

🤔If you want a “little” project, Scarland needs rides….just a thought…. rideable merry-go-round, iddy-bitty-kiddy roller-coaster or tilt-a-whirl, death-drop, etc. He already has a giant coaster planned, and Tango agreed to do a 🎡 Ferris Wheel, like the one he did for his bartering set up…..either one might want help, perhaps, 🤷‍♀️.

Oh man, I was actually expecting Cub to climb Mt. Etho. He was a snow layer away from drawing too. But then Etho pulled that massive 60+ tomes phase out of nowhere, almost double of what Cub submitted. Regardless, even if Cub isn't in for the win any longer, it was really fun watching him run DO. Now it's time to conquer Blue River Raceway. The Dojo must live on. Also, it's always a fun episode when the Museum is featured. It was one of the most exciting projects this season, in my personal opinion. Keep doing your best, Cub, and God bless you, brother.

Cub Fan became my favorite at the end of season 7. He constantly uploads from the first day to the last day of the season. Most other Hermits are doing the life series or vault hunters but rarely do anything on HC at the end of the Season. But Cub is here!

Cub, I was sad to hear that Etho won the last phase by farming level 3, but I'm also happy you have not done that. If there was a 10 tome pack, Ethos victory might not have been so sure. You have been my favorite Hermit to watch to play DO. The three week victory streak was amazing, you have made smart decisions with the card and tome purchases and you have been a good sport even when the odds were not in your favor. Your videos and streams have been thrilling to watch. In my eyes you are the winner. Anyways, how could you fit the trophy from DO to your head when the MCC crown is so big 👑.

playing for fun was definitely the better choice, cub. seeing people boldly challenge the dungeon, regardless of the outcome, is way more fun than just minmaxing points.

if etho and cub tie for first place I think the best idea for a tie breaker would be to have both players run the dungeon on deepfrost at once on the same deck and whoever gets out with the artefact wins. maybe even let them have some armour to make it more likely the winner is determined by getting out of the dungeon first instead of by the other player dying

I've had a ton of fun watching you run, beat the odds, and fill your museum to the brim. When Pearl got Brilliance the next run it played right after quickstep meaning that Brilliance was recycled however Pearl also discovered an issue that no one knew about. The dungeon was only counting 39 cards and sending the 40th card back

By the way if anyone is curious on when the season is ending it will probably be ending in 2 weeks right before Christmas. The Hermits will probably return somewhere near February 14th give or take probably 7 days. They have done this before and January is the worst paying month on KZbin so they like to take a long break and enjoy the holidays.

I sense some animosity from Cub. I think the fact that he can't catch up with Etho is probably frustrating. Etho, from the begining, had winning in mind. He was optimizing and exploiting everything he could. Tango had to nerf some things as a result. Those that came after may have a hard time catching up. Etho recognized that and held back a couple phases. Can't blame the guy for having his on the long game from the begining.

Tangos biggest effort for catch up strategy was giving less tomes to those brining in more embers. I'm too dumb to comment on whether it was enough. In the end, everyone played the same game so everyone should have had equal chances.

With the museum being finished and Decked Out ending soon, it kind of feels like the season is starting to wind down. Obviously I hope it continues for a while, especially since Scarland is still in the works, but people definitely seem to be starting to wrap up their big projects, so it wouldn't surprise me if we're near the end.

Pearl traded the tomes to Cleo, and will be trading some to Joe. She had put it in Discord that they were available, and Joe answered first. But then Cleo came in for the snipe. 😂 If Pearl has more tomes, she would probably be willing to trade, since she said that she doesn’t really care about trying to win this phase.

Why is no one trying to actually beat the game by entering the Deepfrost door? I think a key to the door spawns in one of the four towers when entering Deepfrost, Tango said that to Pearl while doing the Lackey run.

If Cub ia behind by 3 points, Etho getting 2nd place this phase will yield him 4 points, making it impossible for Cub to catch up as he'd be 1 point short even if he got first. Luck has to choose it's side.

Pearl only does Deepfrost runs these days. As for winning, if it’s not fun for Cub to do level 3 farming only, then let him play the way that is. It’s all entertaining! 😊

He's currently 3 points behind, so even if he got 6 points this phase, he would still end up 2nd overall due to Etho most likely getting 2nd for the phase, scoring 4 points. Phase 8 settled what the final scores were likely to be.
