I'd assume the same as when the visitors came for Decked Out 2. It was absolute chaos and unfortunately one person seems to avoid it all and get miles ahead, then there is no "blue shell" mechanic to nuke them out of first... so they end up winning... But it is a ton of laughs, and might be better if everyone involved actually puts in some practice runs and gets up on that board to be competitive, cuz only a slim few knew the course while everyone else was doing a first run.

@@SnyperMK2000JclL There's no blue shell, but there will be a catch up mechanic (the firework dispenser). Remains to be seen whether it's gonna be effective or not. Argument could be made that first player reaching a checkpoint of some sort could open some new shortcuts for the players behind them, but that would require balancing and prolonged interest in racing on the server. It would also change nature of the race from pure racing to mario-kart-esque race. But yeah, it's gonna be a bumpy ride (heh).

There will be other players in the Grand Prix. They will constitute a unique obstacle, distinct from any you’ll encounter practicing alone. I suggest getting a few friends to practice alongside you. Crucially, take turns practicing! One races as they would in the actual competition and the others prioritize staying in close proximity to the one practicing so they have the opportunity to practice navigating other racers at all positions on the track.

X not sure if it gets addressed later in the episode or not, but pretty sure Ren was talking about Beer Butter, as a play on Butterbeer from Harry Potter. Not Ear Butter, that's probably more of a Grian creation.

As a redstone nerd, I'm dying to spend hours in the world download tearing apart Decked Out. As an adrenaline junkie I'm pretty excited to play it. But I may actually be more excited to try this race course. There's no random to it except the polar bears, so it really comes down to skill and practice and it's something I can just grab a boat and jump right into, easier than Decked Out. I'll probably start with a pink cherry wood boat, I can't handle the raw aerodynamic speed of the bamboo yet.

next tip i didn't see in your videos that ren and etho pointed out, get a running start are the start line so you are already at speed when the gate drops. takes some timing to work out, but you get that down, easy 2 seconds saved.

It will be interesting to see how well these lessons pay off when there are other racers on the course. If you're able to break away with an early start, then it might be smooth sailing, but if you get stuck in the pack then you might be jostled off your game.

Looking forward to the grand prix, the chaos of people could mean the start is a lot more rocky although I imagine it will become a bit more predictable later into the track - even more so I look forward to people optimising this when the world download comes out (which I imagine isn't that far in the horizon now)

Have you tried the moving start yet ? Didn’t Etho say you could get a better start if you move your boat back away from the start line and start moving before the countdown finished so you hit the start line at best possible speed rather than a standing start this gives you a good chance to get too the front first, but it takes some practice too get it right.

The programmer in me wants to know how it edited in the km/h part of the overlay so bad! Like, surely not manually more or less per frame, right?! But like.....also I have a hard time thinking it was some sort of dynamic program that could read the m/s in the lower middle and do the conversion math too. I want to know so bad!

hey it's out of context but does anyone here know how the hell I can generate a nether with a complete void so that it even won't generate any terrain if you load the chunks? Would love it for a skyblock map with friends but no matter what I do a few chunks away there is always normal generation :/
