Hi X, for those of us who dont have a second account for Decked Out: Maybe include some instructions of how to setup a Carpet Bot and give it also a map. Since you have to run fabric anyway it should be pretty easy to set this up ^^

Go to the or near where the map is, and run the command /player [name] spawn. The dummy player can then be given a map by dropping it near them, and they will hold it. Bear in mind that this dummy player will disappear should the server close, in singleplayer, when you leave the world.

Also, after you've setup Carpet Mod, you can use these commands on 4 command blocks with simple repeaters between them: player Steve spawn tp Steve -511.5 62.0 1737.5 gamemode creative Steve give Steve minecraft:filled_map{map:976} This spawns Steve for the map holder, TPs the character to the location, sets the game mode to creative so he doesn't get killed (already had one get killed by a drowned XD) and then gives the map. Just put these in a row with repeaters between them and a button on the first one, easy auto setup for the map :)

Also downloaded, too. Early Bird catches the worm! Or the save file! Didn't take that long, either (my location is near an Internet backbone, so that helps - also hurts when the backbone line accidently gets cut, which only happened once in the 1990s. The entire mid-atlantic and northeast were cut off for a few days.).

I highly recommend installing Sodium and Lithium, it really helps with lag on the world download. Also if you want to play decked out you should install carpet mod. It lets you spawn in additional players, which you can give the map and it will function like an actual player. Really helps if you don't have access to a second account.

Fabulously Optimized in general is probably worth at least scrolling through the list-given the number of armor stands, Entity Culling seems like it should be essential.

I probably missed this somehow but why does the second player have to be holding a map? Aren't they just there to load the area around the build that appears on the map you hold when you play Decked Out?

@@shadowscythes Maps only update in a certain radius around players who have the map, thats just how it works.

There are mods that can tell you how many blocks have been modified in a chunk as well, even if there are multiple versions of vanilla world generation under the same seed. If you ignore falling blocks & water/lava this can do a good job of highlighting areas with underground builds.

I wonder if it would be possible to identify one 'tag' block that isn't expensive or rare but doesn't naturally spawn (a written sign, perhaps?) and have the Hermits make a habit of dropping/burying one near anything they don't want pruned, and then setting up a way to search for/highlight those during pruning sessions? A written sign would also have the bonus of Hermits being able to integrate a note to X/other pruners if the chunk doesn't need to be retained for the whole season. With the long seasons, that's the kind of stuff you'd know initially but forget about entirely once the moment has passed. :)

If you don't have a second player or carpet bot to load the decked out map, you can always find out the map coords and "/forceload add topLeftChunkCoord boottomRightChunkCoord"

Exploring the world was so much fun. Loved finding all of Grian's admiration signs, the charged creeper named "Sub to Docm77" all the immensely grand builds, talking to Grumbot, and finding Grian's sign "Sometimes the Illusion is more entertaining than the truth" In the redstone, then leaving the way Grian did, through the rift. It almost made me cry seeing all of this two years' memories. Thanks Xisuma for the world and even more to all the hermits for having fun playing on their server and recording so we can watch. For anyone wondering. If you play on LAN server, share the world's custom content like audio, textures etc with your gaming partner! Be sure to place the custom contents in the appropriate folders and load the mods while in the minecraft app! This will enable them to see the cards, keys, hear the audio etc!
