He built the huge TCG sign out front, complete with pyrotechnics set off while anyone walks the street into the pyramid, he got Scar to set up a refreshments booth, he made a ton of splash potions for the crowd to throw onto the players and GM, he provided different fireworks that could be set off by some golden pressure plates in the stands. I might be missing more but that’s a lot! Trust Cub to make anything grand.

yeah, with the custom items plugin it should be easy to do in future seasons without having to create maps. Makes it easier to update/change them too

Plus, it would give the Hermits something more to spend diamonds on(or any other currency, diamonds are apparently too easy to get with Doc on the premises). Kinda like land in the shopping district two seasons ago. They could make the card sales owned by the server itself, or used for community projects the next version of ruler(my vote goes for burgomeister). Maybe Beef can even let people create new cards for a flat payout if they pass a rules committee. And it would give more chances for interaction, instead of everyone just doing farms or mega-builds.

I don't think it's dumb that a TCG match can end so quickly, but I would have liked for the volatility of early-game wins to be balanced out a bit. But it's all fun.

I love how amazing Etho is at minigames. Even if he isn't quite the PVP beast he used to be, his game sense and problem solving skills are unmatched and it really shines with minigames. First Decked Out winner, first TCG winner, this man cannot be stopped! It feels like every time, while most Hermits are just messing around, Etho is learning every quirk, exploit, and strategy and using them to their max. Its so entertaining to watch how he learns, masters, and then absolutely obliterates everyone when these long term minigames come out!

@@ionmeth2031 Yeah, previously Etho made a point in just delaying and tanking damage so he could get the cards he wanted. t's so important for his strategy, since he has to be ahead for it to work. That's why he has so many armours in the deck, and it's also why his opponent can't afford to lose points.

In defence of Etho regarding the Scar TCG card miscalculation: “When scar got knocked down to 80 (actually 60), instead of taking out xb, etho would've swapped to his stress to avoid losing scar since he actually had 60 hp and not 80. He would've tanked a hit with stress the next turn, and then the following turn he would've used his chest to grab the golden apple to heal his scar to 160 the following turn. He also draws his efficiency book on that turn, so depending on whether xb has switched hermits or not will determine who etho kills with stress, giving him the lead of 2 to 1. It would've been a different match for sure, but pretty sure etho wins regardless.” -thelatemercutio

@@miniciominiciominicio that's true and I think a rematch would be fair. But with these kinda things you gotta weigh the pros and cons. A rematch would be awkward and could result in more mistakes, it would also be anticlimactic in both scenarios where 1) etho wins again 2) xb wins this time. The finale was hyped up and 3 hermits released videos on it already. You'd need to gather a good crowd of hermits for the rematch as well. All in all, it might be best for them to just leave it as is (ofc they would know best in the end)

@@jeffbronson3696 It doesn’t matter that all of them released episodes. They (xB, Joe, Beef, Cub) found out about it yesterday live on stream. It seems as if they didn’t tell Etho even though they all played 90 minutes of TCG together (not on stream, anyway). Beef himself said he was going to take a look at it. But if it’s true that none of them told Etho about it and just let him post this episode is unfortunate, to say the least. I would prefer to think the best of the hermits so until confirmed otherwise, I’ll assume Etho IS aware and that he along with xB and Beef talked about it and they decided against a rematch. Or they’ll farm it for more content. I don’t think it would be anticlimactic at all, especially they did the championship rematch live. They could make it an event. :)

I waited a week with watching some of the other Hermits' videos because I wanted to watch Etho's POV first, but now I've unfortunately seen everything in this video at least once before because it was already spoiled while I was waiting. Sometimes it's tough to have Etho as my fav Minecrafter, but can't complain about a 42 min episode regardless

Vintage beef makes an important math mistake here at 34:14 that changed the outcome of the game. He reduces scars health from 260 to 240. so scars only takes 20 dammage instead of the 40. this changes the game later as etho is able later able to win because scar survies another round on 20 health. Wich scar would not have had if beef had applied the dammage correct here 34:14
