One of the things Etho does and Tango called out was, Etho knows how many frost embers he wants going into the dungeon or at least the cut off points. So if he is going for tomes he sets a goal of 27 or if there is a specific card or set of cards he knows the minimum he needs on a run. You might want to document or print off all the card prices so you can quickly decide if you want to stay in longer during a farm run.

More than that, he's doing mental maths on the fly throughout the run based on the value of his aftefact, what cards he's pulled already and has remaining, what clank is like, where the ravagers are and how easy it's going to be getting out, how many embers does he need to buy 'x', how many more coins/crowns he needs to buy a shard. So if he doesn't get the artefact that will get him what he wants, or it doesn't come up in the shop, he's got a backup. He's maxed out on common cards and loot n scoot and had at least one run in the phase where he had a good artefact but couldn't buy any cards, but had picked up enough extra embers to buy 3 tomes. That kind of real time strateging is necessary at this stage of the game if you don't want to end up wasting a lot of embers after a successful run.

He has created a game that everyone in the MC community can't wait to get their hands on. Anyone who has ever even heard whispers of Hermitcraft now knows of DO2 and wants their Frost Shard in to the dungeon. Honestly it would he so cool if after the season Tango hosted a big tournament on the world he intends to let Mrs. T, Skizz, and Jimmy play on with a lot of the people from MCC. Maybe a more fast paced version where the first weekend everyone gets to pick 100 embers worth of cards up to 30 embers in value to start and then shops from there with 10 runs available to them each weekend over the course of a month and the individual or team with the most total embers secured wins.

Doc's deck is actually great for sustaining long dungeon runs. a lot of Hazard and clank block which some other hermits lack which shows a lot since he doesnt get zoned out of routes nearly as much as other runs ive been watching

Looking at the build so far, I can't help but think Mesopotamia was a huge inspiration. With that in mind maybe a fountain would be a fair asset as well since I think there is evidence that there was a fountain dated back to like 3000 B.C. referenced in a carved basin found I think in Lagash. Maybe a Ziggurat would also be a good addon as well to maybe pay some homage to the ancient aesthetic. Just my two-cents. haha

For the tank, I would suggest you open one of the "drains" partway down to let out a "small" waterfall. Make a small channel for the water to flow down the outside of the lower structure and reach the flooded perimeter. This could be the explanation for why the lower region is flooded! There's a small leak in the massive tank. Or have a crack in the window where the internal water level stops and have the water flow from there showing why the tank can't fill past that point.

The tank will never fill to the top because the machinery has stopped and the tank has split. But maybe there is still some flow from the lake through cracks in the ground into the back of the tank. Just enough to maintain a trickle out from the bottom of the crack? I agree that would definitely add something.

If you eat the berries slowly (wait till you have 1,5 hunger haunches missing), you can regenerate a full heart with each berry. Takes longer, but you'll get more regen out of each berry. Credit goes to Hypno who uses this technique.

Question: From a physics standpoint, since the lake is near the top of the tank, wouldn't there be water spilling into the tank and then out the crack in the tank? If you pursued the physics "lore," you could have a waterfall spilling out of the tank, which could explain why there's water at the bottom of the perimeter.

I see how you're excited about adding the lore but if DO2, your Loud Speakers, and Scar's base have taught us anything it's how huge of an impact custom sounds make. Any Lore sounds you could cook up would be awesome! I appreciate you doing a late game strategy with DO2 that's unique. I'm excited to see how it measures up. Have you considered making the perimeter walls modular? You could figure out what materials are required per section of the wall and put everything you need in a single shulker that's staged near where it will be assembled. It will be like a puzzle box where you have to assemble what's inside. It will help a lot with inventory management. Maybe you create a "Building Competition" and trick some Hermits into helping with the progress.

I'm wondering, that spot might not actually be broken, and there might be something ABOVE it. The Spider Path cuts above most of Level 2, and there are compass locations right before/after the cobweb areas, for this one, it might have been right by the vines near the spiders. Idea for the lore of the base: slimes got inside the water tank and got dispensed inside the feeding sistem of the tomatos, resulting in the mutant slime tomatos that are around.

That first decked out run's "narration" was something. "SNEAK" when Doc almost went towards a ravager, "THREAD LIGHTLY" when he started running a bit and "STABILITY" when he finally got some treasures. Almost as if the game itself told him what to do. Pure coincidence though, I'm sure. X)

Lemme show off some lore I made up. Lore of some of the other hermit bases will mix in. A long time ago in the land of HC-09, there was an ancient, prosperous, and peaceful civilization. Who served one of the five children of one of the twelve dragon gods. There were eleven like this one who each served the other dragon gods but they are lost as of now. The dragon provided the civilization water. The people were to feed the dragon tomatoes. There were even aliens, elves and dwarves helping. Then a great disaster happened. A super warden, the ancient enemy of the dragon gods, spawned in the icy mountains and started destroying the other civilizations. Then all of the civilizations became corrupt and started to betray their own dragons. They all started to serve the super warden. The Goat civilization started feeding the fiend tomatoes instead of to the dragon. The others likewise fed it with the plants that they each grow and feed to their respective dragon like potatoes, squash, carrots and peppers. The super warden was so amused by their foolishness that he started to turn the food that they grow into monsters. It then started to take the power of each of the twelve dragons. They all share the power of water so the super warden gained that power. The aliens, elves, and dwarves used their magic to restore the power of the dragons. Then a great battle raged on between the twelve water dragons and the super warden. The battle ended when the fiend was cast into a volcano, freezing it in the process. The dragons were furious at the people that once served them for their betrayal. They decided to curse the entirety of HC-09 with a long and harsh winter. The whole land was covered in ice. Most of the people froze to death. The plant monsters were still there to kill. But the plants that they grew that didn’t turn into monsters, miraculously survived. The winter will go on and off forever. The winter may have paused now, but it is a matter of time before it resumes again. The dwarves built a massive fortress on the frozen volcano as an extension of their mines. They thought it was safe because the super warden is dead. But they were wrong. Ice wardens and ravagers were dwelling in there. For a while, the dwarves were able to contain them as there were not so much. But the numbers began to increase, overwhelming the dwarves so much that they abandoned it. This lore has potential to be expanded for future seasons. Feel free to use it.

I have so many questions now, like : Why is this ancient civilisation extinct ?, Were they killed by the giant tomato slimes ? How did they manage to have enough sun for the tomatoes despite being in a giant hole ? What else were they doing with their insane technologies ? They seem to have a crazy anvil cannon and a creeper (charged !) cannon, were they at war ? against who ? why ? It's so much fun thinking about all of this !

Hey Doc, I think if you had water coming out of the crack, even if unrealistic, would add so much to the build, having the water snake down into the terraces would be a cool detail. Maybe lore-wise the pump is still working slowly and pushing a little bit of water out, which is also what is cause the water leaks on the floor. Also, when you do the floor decorations, consider adding massive piles of rubble and ruins of pillars that seperate fan-art, that would be cool. Thanks for the vid! Regarding the chicken lag, couldn't you break the ladder by pushing the block it's attached to (and replace it with another block so the chickens stay trapped)? Then they would start entity cramming and all but 24 would die automatically

If there's an End update, an enchantment could allow for items to be collected in a similar way to the poppy technology. An minimum, picking up items as soon as they're mined by a player, instead of dropping, to not have to pick them up later or left to despawn. Possibly in addition, items could go straight to shulker boxes in the inventory wherever there's space, even if it's mixed with other items in the process.

Doc you are missing a large treasure drop spot on floor one when you were searching for your key. To the right of the kneeling man in the key drop off area, make sure to check there often!
