if i recall correctly, he was trying to do an accent from elsewhere (not where he’s from) in germany edit: just checked the video, he was speaking in a southern bavarian dialect

as a german even I needed to read the subtitles for some phrases. many south/west dialects are basically a different language to a baltic fischkopp like me. more like saxon nowadays

It took me quite a while to realize that the voiceover was from the Season 6 episode (Which I just watched today by the way), because I haven't seen Doc's _actual_ Empires crossover video, so I was completely cleueless. Funny how well that clip and voice go together... Or probably that's just because I don't know the slightest bit of German.

Been learning german (down in saxony) and weirdly i got quite a bit more of what he was saying that i expected. I must admit it took a few seconds for me to be convinced it was still doc as the voice changes a fair bit between the languages/years

As a dane who speaks german. The Bayerische-tourist-thing was so amazing. Even with a few Bayerische Motoren Werke references thrown in - like a true cliché of an Old less bavarian tourist in a Strange land.
