Wouldn't it be better to have the 0-tick farms drop their items directly into a waterstream? Because the hoppers seem to be the bottleneck for the bamboo farm at the xp shop.
@JustaGuy_Gaming
@JustaGuy_Gaming 5 жыл бұрын
I think instead of one zero tick farm with 3 stalks of bamboo the set up wold probably work better with 2-3 fuel inputs with only one bamboo. The hoppers/dispensers could keep up better, and you could possibly have them input at different points of the water stream. One of the middle, two at the start, dispensing at the same spot maybe. The main thing is you want the furnaces near the door to work the most, as it's where people coming in will be drawn to.
@SimpleZomb
@SimpleZomb 5 жыл бұрын
@@JustaGuy_Gaming Would decrease the load for sure but then the pressure plate technique for checking if all the furnaces have enough fuel X mentioned at the end wouldn't work anymore.
@JustaGuy_Gaming
@JustaGuy_Gaming 5 жыл бұрын
@@SimpleZomb Well it still could, as long as you keep the water stream in the same direction and just start the feed at the mid point. Alternatively you could also loop the streams around instead of letting the items despawn. The cut off options would be far more complicated though, but at least a more balanced load would be set up.

Your explanation of all the parts was really good and I understood it, but that might have been because I was following the project on both your and ilmango's channels and I saw you build the big brick one before. Before you get to each section, you could explain what the purpose of that section is. So when you were starting the green section you could have said "Now the goal is to trigger the dropper to unload all of the cactus" or something so people would be able to follow that circuit and understand what the goal of it was as it was being built up. Using the glass was a super cool idea. It really helped.

Xisuma I think instead of a dedicated shop this service would be far more useful as mini "repair huts" around the server. Maybe only having 4-8 furnaces in a single shop. But have one in the 1.14 village, nether hub and tons of other places. So people have a convenient place to repair no matter where they are. Cause if you want to fly off for repairs most would just use the Gold or guardian farm.

Showing the systems in play via stained glass is very clever. Mumbo kinda does something similar with wool colors in the testing world, but...dang, dude. Redstone barely needs wiring up, anymore. Glad there's a new solution.

Idea: directly link a farm to a shop so it restocks itself magically, and put hoppers to get all the diamonds to make room for new stock

I understood the redstone but I want to know: does picking up the smelted stack give exp for that stack only or all 11?
@PlaywithFire96
@PlaywithFire96 5 жыл бұрын
It will give xp for all 11, as long as the furnace never goes empty. That's why there needs to be a smelted item (or stack) for the player to take out.

Love the xp farm. I was trying my best to make a version that didn't need a button to be pressed, but I gave up on that one soon after it became 3 wide. Definitely gonna build mango's new version on my multplayer server. I am considering going for smokers and chicken instead of cactus. That'll smelt faster and it actually gives you something useful, but it only gives half the xp per unit. Not sure which one I want...

Iskall made a super smelter with a similar feed system. He came across the same clock speed issue and solved it by removing the hoppers from the bamboo farm and had it go directly into the water stream. He also has a furnace repair farm in his base that does what yours does, it just doesn't have the auto fuel as far as I know(because it's older than 1.14)
