Hero of the Forge: Heroes Are Forged (Laurion's Song) mechanics explained.

Hello all,
In this video we will talk about the basic mechanics of the Hero of the Forge mission (Heroes Are Forged)
Please note that this mission will likely change some like missions typically do early on expansion release. I will try to make updates as changes happen. So for tracking purposes lets call this Version 1.
The event starts off with the Ooze. The ooze will spawn adds (timed) if dps is not strong. In addition it will have a big red aura around it. If that happens tank just needs to move it away from the group. Once dead we move to the next phase the spider.
The spider will will warp around the area % base 4 times. The place it can warp to will be upper/lower north or south building. There is a mechanic I am told that looting an item from the ooze add will allow people to enter the webbed area. In the webbed area will be an egg sac. This part will proceed if the egg sac is killed or hatches. If the egg hatches you will need to deal with a penalty add. In the video I mention a hot key. Please ignore that and adjust it to the following
line 1: /Target egg
line 2: /pet attack
line 3: /swarm
line 4: /alt act (your pet attack thing) burn out or whatever your class may have.
The egg sacs have a big regen, so multiple pet users maybe needed. Once spider dead the Lich mini will spawn
The lich phase is where I like to burn. The lich is rooted and does not summon and will teleport % health wise making it extremely annoying to run around and dps it. So burn with dots if you are able to and it will just jump around till dead. If your dps is lacking you will get a mummy add (timed). Lich will also dot a large area, simply move group out of it. Once the lich is dead the last boss spawns - Shalowain
Shalowain once active will emote 2 people in the group. There will be 2 auras that spawn wherever Shalowain is and path towards the people emoted. Said individuals need to run away from the aura till the debuff fades from their effect windows. Once faded its safe to stop moving and let the aura touch them. This emote is timed so if dps is slow 2 other people will be emoted. Shaolwain will also cover a large area

This mission is so hard for me I had to use the nos null damage clickie an my anniversary dps items necro bone an lightning lol no clickie was not used burned an spammed 😂

Hey is it possible to just kill the trash mobs in that mission for exp? Like with the Restless Assault mission?

you can, but there are better sources of exp i think. Do not believe mission trash repop also. My favorite exp grind is sitting at the base of the ramp in Heroes Forge and repeat doing mercs. You can pull the wizards, berserkers, and warriors there np. Each task is only killing 5 of each and fast reget timer, and npc is close to request.
