Awesome job, really makes the Elf look ethereal and magical. Had nearly the same experience with the cape, first try was much to boring and flat, got it how I wanted on the second try as well with Talassar Blue. Nice to see that you used the same color too. 😁

Awesome! Yeah it was just one of those learning moments where I played it waaaaay too safe and had to kick it up a notch. Don't be afraid of colour haha.

I used Army Painter Speed Paint blues and their acrylic purples as well as their acrylic metallic colors. Magic Blue as basecoat. Brushing over Crystal Blue and Voidshield Blue. Soft Wash. Brush over acrylic purple but only slightly. Finish with metallic purple brush.I used thinned Magic Blue as a wash then varnished it.

edit: Talassar Blue is very similar to Speed Paint Magic Blue

I'm conflicted. That blue looks so cool that I want to paint it just like yours and do a base full of ice and ice effects ... on the other hand thematically the barbarian would be better suited for ice because of his elemental resistance and being in the frozen horror expansion. xD

The male elf came in the original Pre-Order campaign when the rerelease was first announced. I don't think there's a way to get it at this moment outside from resellers 😵
