I’ve only used rinseless for the last 3 years of detailing. In my opinion, rinseless can be used for every vehicle. A rinseless doesn’t mean you’re never using a hose or pressure washer but just that you aren’t rinsing the product off after a contact wash like you would with a soap. I use a pressure washer to clean the wheels and bugs from the front, and usually to rinse off loose stuff first. Common sense should always lead. For example, I was detailing a ford edge that hadn’t been washed in 7 years. That required a different process than my personal car that is usually washed once every week or two and is coated. Thank you for not putting protection in the formula. I wash the whole car at once, I don’t have time for that panel by panel bs. A good rinseless should be able to dry on the surface with no issues. To me, a rinseless is a problem solving solution. I have hard water, and cars tend to dry pretty quick when it’s 105° out, but as long as I have a good rinseless on the surface, I’m not running around trying to make sure everything stays wet. Any polymer spots left behind will come off with the drying towel. A product like idrosave that requires to be used panel by panel is best suited to the garbage can for me. If I want to add protection, I’ll add a spray or two of amplify or diy ceramic gloss while I dry the panel. I’m excited to give it a try, everything else I’ve tried from you guys has been great!

What's your current go to rinseless, Ethan?
@ethanblan4358 ай бұрын
@@JamessLuner-wi2qs currently my go to is diy detail. Although in the heat of the summer here, I find that diy tends to dry on the panel a little quicker than others. Not a big deal because it doesn’t leave spots, but I’ll have to go back with a light spray of rinseless again after washing before drying. So usually in the summers I’ve been using more p&s absolute and when it’s not quite as hot out, I’ll use more diy. I’ve got some of the new Koch chemie rinseless coming and I’ll try out the hero when it launches, so we’ll see if one of those replaces any of them once I can test them thoroughly this summer. I love diy rinseless for interiors though, I don’t think I’ll switch for interiors, but I’ll test them. With the surfactants, diy rinseless is a really good interior cleaner
@JamessLuner-wi2qs8 ай бұрын
@@ethanblan435 nice. I also use diy rinseless and experience the same as you. When I tried absolute, I noticed it left spots after drying that took a bit of effort to remove so I got rid of it. I'm super excited for hero. It might replace diy for me

Welcome to the rinseless club! I'm excited to give it a try, it sounds like a winner. You mentioned that you wouldn't use it on a muddy car. Technically that is correct, however to me it's still no different than soap. If you have a muddy or extremely dirty car, you're still going to do a prewash with foam/APC and a pressure washer. The same rules apply for rinseless as they do for soap. If you wouldn't touch the surface with a soapy mitt, you wouldn't touch it with rinseless either. For me, rinseless is just a soap replacement for the contact wash stage that saves you time by not having to rinse after. It also buys you time/saves stress if you're working in the sun with hard water, or it makes washing in the garage a better experience for those of us up north where you can't bucket wash outside for practically half the year. Thanks for putting your own spin on a rinseless, more competition will result in more innovation and choices for us consumers.
@armourdetailsupply8 ай бұрын
Appreciate the comments and support, Jeff. I can totally see your point, but if I’m going through all that trouble I think I’m still going to use soap and rinse out all my cracks and crevices. Everyone’s process is different and I have nothing but respect for people who make rinseless work in all situations, better men than I.

I am so excited to try this, I've been following Eddie for a long time and he actually got me hooked up with rinseless washing. BUT, I need to say, I LOVE the foaming capability of DIY, I foam it all over my car as a pre-soak and to me it dries perfectly fine with no marks or issues, it doesn't annoy me and the foam clings to the surface giving me more emulsification and dwelling time.
@armourdetailsupply8 ай бұрын
Everyone has their own preference, use what works for you. The foam is giving you the perception of better emulsification, but it's not actually. Dwell time, sure. But dwell time really isn't needed with a good rinseless. Ours goes to work immediately.

This is a great product and it smells great. I can see in your replies that it's ok to use on interiors and I've heard you say it doesn't leave SIO2 behind. With that said, from a newbies perspective, the whole "leaves nothing behind" seems like a bit of a running joke as every company seems to have a different definition of what "nothing" means. lol. So with that said, my question is... Can I clean interior windows or will the SIO2 that is not left behind fog up the windows? lol (I'm sorry, my sarcasm is not directed at you. It's the entire Detailing Industry Complex. lol ) Serious though, ok for window interiors? Thanks in advance.

How does this compare to Adapt for something like door jambs or spray and wipe of a bird bomb? Is Adapt still safer for heavily soiled surfaces like most waterless washes, or is it the other way around? Of course, you wouldn't wash an entire car with Adapt. Really appreciate the detail and agree that foaming rinseless is pointless.
@armourdetailsupply8 ай бұрын
Hey Chris! HERO diluted at the Waterless dilution ratio will perform in a similar manner to ADAPT on safely cleaning. However, ADAPT is still a more specialized formula for waterless wash so it is slicker, and actually leaves durable protection as you know. Which is very nice for those door jambs, and bug bomb hits!

A foaming product is not a quality that is recognised as helping the cleaning process. Foam is just visual and gives an impression of a car or a surface being cleaned. It's more of a cultural aesthetic. The US loves a foaming product, here in the UK we don't care about foam, we care about cleaning power and cost. Take for instance Bilt Hamber snowfoam it's thin and washes down the panel but drags the dirt with it. In a rinseless setting, you would be battling with foam and polymer spots, a nightmare. I think you guys have you heads screwed on and not getting caught up in the nuances in the industry. I cannot wait to try Hero. I've seen Eddie's chanel and lots of others.
