Hero Surfer Who Lost Board Saving Swimmer Gets ‘Extreme' Reward

While rescuing a swimmer at Sunny Cove in Santa Cruz, 17-year-old surfer Zade Stone-Hinds lost his board. People on the beach, and later online, made sure Stone-Hinds got a new one, and then some. Garvin Thomas reports.

To all people who go on vacation and want to swim, ..... ask the locals first! In my town Wijk aan Zee in the Netherlands we surf next to a pier with rocks that's in between the surf and where a massive river is where containerships go in and out. Me and me mates resqued so many people there. Both in the sea, ... or people who tried so swim in the river. I lost two boards crashing on the rocks while saving some people, .... and a lot of dogs! Also some stranger surfers who did not know the conditions of our very dangerous surf!
