I watched only a minute and I love you allready this is my favorite game of all times man thank you so much for the nostalgia. I remember the 12 hour game we played with cousins when we were gathered up at our village to visit our grandma. There were no internet connection so we only had our laptops and ethernet cables to be able to play together games like Red Alert 2 or AOE2. Tears going down :,)

That music... Heroes 3 is always installed in all my PCs (obviously with some mods as the HD for widescreen), and time to time I see its icon and can't resist to play a quick skirmish, or edit a map, also with my school friends sometimes we play a skirmish. When a game is perfect, is eternal...

One major thing I enjoyed about 5 was the introduction of faction-specific perk lines. And you had to strategically build your character if you wanted to obtain the Ultimate perk(my favorite being the Demon one that allows for instant gating). But yes, 3 is the best one by far(though Heroes 2 will always have a special place in my heart because that is how I discovered the franchise when I was a kid).

@@RevCake its still a gem but the game was ahead of its time 3do has put so much love energy and time into this , nothing came close to it , i still play from time to time but eventually it gets boring cuz i have played this soooooooo much if their was a dev who could extend on this game make more maps or anything like with aoe 2 they improved that game much they should do the same with heroes of might and magic 3 if steam were to do this it would be a good sale

Played this game for years, loved it and I was sooooo bad! My strategy was always, get the capitol first week, get two heroes (one main, one to fetch reinforcement) and go chronologically through the units (tier 1 + upg, then tier 2 +upg....) Then once I had 10+ of the best unit just go and crush the cpu... It seems so noobish now :D Question: why wait and not defend when you are just waiting for the enemy to come closer?

I dont know, i Really liked homm3 and 5, and honestly i think 5 is by far the best, even the newest 7 that didnt come out yet doesnt seem to be comparable to 5, the graphics, story, creatures, and castles were all amazing. heroes 3 was still the beginning of the success of the game!

5 was shit when it first came out, but if you get all the expansions its pretty great. 4 was awesome either way, different but still awesome. The Undead storyline was my most memorable gaming experience.

Honorable Chris67132 lucky in the first battle. If it was not the middle of the lake, then it would be difficult to wind circles around him. I recommend in this case to get rid of the main detachment of six stacks of one soldier: they will block other enemy groups, as well as to remove backlash. Chris67132 Go random maps, but press I and see the template/seed. I think this one favors the red player, giving him more space and resources at the starting area. Find a random map with a seed that consists of random letters and numbers put together, They're the best seeds. Maps with seeds that are not codes, but are names, such as "Dwarven Tunnels" usually suck more.

Chris if you enter a instance (Utopia, Imp Cache etc.) and decline the fight (as it asks you before actually going in) you can see how many creatures are guarding the place. Throng, Lots and so on and so...

I like the HOTA, trouble is it seems to have a frequent crashing problem on my computer now. I'll give it another shot at some point. Heroes World League Rules I can't find any info on this, but I haven't played Heroes 3 competitively for like 20 years or something.

Well, I would be very interested in seeing a HotA expert playthrough from you, so that's what I will certainly look forward to! As for HW Rules it's basically a small plugin that enforces certain gameplay changes in online lobbies (or other multiplayer matches, for instance LAN duels) accordingly to the currently largest, and most competitive league in Heroes 3 (as far as I know at least). From what I've seen most players even from NA moved to the Russian league due to it's large population and skill. You can take a gander at the rule page with google translate if you'd be interested as of to what they modify when it comes to competitive gameplay.
