Yeah exactly! What makes the game good is huge variety of different outcomes and maps that can be played, that makes everything situational, of course there are things objectively stronger than other, but if everything potentially can be broken, nothing is.

if someone can make a movie of heros 3, i will go see it... hero adventure out of castle and when in battle .. just when you think you have beaten opponent hero, they raised flag to retreat but you reveal you have a shackle on your wrist. or like you see a hero far far away and you dimensional door 3 times to catch up and kill it. heros 3 is my favorite game of all time.

If the upgraded efreet stack hadn’t split it could have done better actually but still not sure it can win vs the hero + vampire lords with the stat differential. Could be closer though, if it takes overkill retal with the regular efreet stack that’s not enough to heal, then attacks with the upgraded stack, then next it attacks again due to speed, and in turn you get fire shield x2 with the retal and hits. It could wear the vampire stack down enough that they can’t recover fast enough for the number of efreet sultans

Mostly agreed, but with Necro, there's a thing called "Skeleton farming", where you can "farm" tens of thousands of Skeletons in a game and dominate any opponent. It's a widely used tactic too, to the point where some people would even ban Necro just because of that. So, agreed with Dragons and Zombies, but not Skeletons :D

Oh, and I forgot to say. You can only farm that many Skeletons on large maps, so what you said *might* be true for small maps. About the "farming" strategy, you could do various things to achieve it. For example, fight creatures on the adventure map; or fight heroes with a lot of troops. After those battles, you'll be rewarded with a lot of Skeletons. That's basically the idea.

@@EmiliaKaida Wow I knew about skeleton farming but I never realized it was so effective since I generally prefer to play as dungeon. Heroes 5 used to have a similar exploit until they patched it, now you have a fixed about of "points" you can use to rez various undead creeps each week. Also their dragons got even worse somehow.

Tbh I think they are balanced, the mechanics works as intended and because they are a large stack and you probably have a lot of attack then they will deal more damage and steal more health

You did play this OK, but if you are gonna Vamp lord fight you should go to the up right or bottom right corner bcs then only 2 stacks can attack

Anyways, I'm really surprised at how some people get really obsessed with how we "should" be doing things. There are billiions of ways to do things, even in H3, just relax and enjoy it, don't sweat too much. But anyways, thanks for the comment :)

if you let undead get big enough to get a stack of 566 vampire lords, you got far bigger problems to worry about than vampire lords, lol. like the stack of 10k power liches because they have the combined artifact that lets them res liches instead of skeletons

Yeah, many people mentioned that point. But please note that this battle is inside an anti-magic garrison, so Vampire Lords flying there will not be in 1 turn and might (?) suffer huge damages from all the Efreets. Just a note.

No, not exactly. There'll still 3 stacks attacking them if you put top left. Here you can't see in the video, but top left is 1 spot above the destroyed ammo cart, and there'll still be 3 stacks surrounding Vampires. The better places (with only 2 stacks surrounding) are top right and bottom right, but of course we can't reach there in time. Maybe Teleport? (but this is an Anti-magic garrison)

Everyone appares to ingore necro's troops are relatively the weakest, a proper strategy AND numbers is how you play. If those Efreet and Sultan Efreet where in 2 stacks of their total this fight would have been over after 2 attacks.

Why do you guys always have something to criticize about? If you browse through the comments here you'll see a similar question and I answered that. I know about this "optimization" and I just don't do it. This is an anti-magic garrison thus if you somehow spend turns to reach the right side, you'll lose some of the Vampire Lords. The battle might still be winnable, but as I always say to people - don't nitpick that much in Heroes 3. It's a game made for people to have fun (mostly), there are always a billion of things you could do in a combat. Don't make yourself age that much faster by thinking too much! And yeah, I might react a bit too much, but hey, I'm stating facts too. If you don't think the same, okay, no problemo.
