This is a wonderful memorial to the Black women who served America in such a noble way. Thanks, Mr. Perry. 🎉

My mother was in the 6888th. She always had respect of the neighborhood. Everyone wanted their kids in her kindergarten class. A guy came up to me at my high school reunion and he wasn’t in my class. H told me how Ny mom walked him home from school because the gangbangers in the hood had been n her class and had respect

@@wendyleequietstorm4671 I have to give it to Tyler Perry he did his thing with this movie. One of the best movies I've ever seen and one of the best I've seen in years. I think I heard in a video that he filmed this in two weeks. I must have misunderstood but I'll research that. Amazing film. I'm a 52 year old black man, who looks 32 lol, and this movie even made me shed a tear or two. Or three lol

Im grateful to be a aunt of 3 military soldiers. Thank you to all of them. This is amazing story. Sadly so many of us are just finding out about these brave 850 courageous women of color soldiers to take on this task accomplished in 90 days three months backlogged mail effectively. Doubt us we prevail
@ImissyoulouАй бұрын
First, they were Black women, not women of color. I knew a girl whos mother was in the 6888. Her mother was a postal clerk in Chicago. I worked at the Main Post Office, with the daughter. They lived on Indiana and 43rd. That was in the early 70's.

As a white man, who is a veteran, I would have loved to have walked in there when Charity was working and give her the warmest hug I could give. I am sure Jesus did when she arrived upstairs and many of the other women who served with her. Jesus said to love one another just as the Father loves you. To everyone who reads this I love you and Jesus saved my heart and soul.

There are several World War 11 Veterans including Navy Veterans who never received pensions. A lot of them are gone now but this is a wrong that need to be made right and their descendants should get those denied pensions. Some died in nursing homes because they were not sent to VA centers Black Veterans mostly received this neglectful treatment. Also children of World War II Veterans suffer from various neurological conditions from the exposure to chemicals. No real means of reaching out to these dependents either.

*Six Triple Eight* the film - Starts filming in *Bradford* the world's first *UNESCO City of Film* on the 16th of February 2023, with preparations starting in *Little Germany* today. Not sure why they need 25 days to prepare, as other productions which are just as big, if not bigger, and have also filmed in *Little Germany, Bradford* have all done their preparations (set building, set decorating, set designing etc) on the day as far as I know, plus they won't be able to close an entire neighbourhood of businesses and homes from the public for 25 days either.
