balance my ass. Necropolis is such a freaking op-ed town (vampires and skelletons usually win the game alone, where you also add the cheat item called "cloak of the undead king" that raises liches). Funny shit how everyone's mad at conflux (which is so freaking weak), but never pick on necropolis because it hurts the feelings of necro fans who feel good at Heroes 3 when they come with legions of skelletons (yeah, like you need any skill to amass legion of them...)

Its balanced, since aside Litch DK and Vampire, the rest of the army is straight up trash. Thats lvl 1,2,3 and 7, which means that u NEED vampires fast in early game, and the end game is rly weak cus of the lvl 7 unit.

At least its not cove cancer, i mean THAT faction is retardedly overpowered. But yeah, Necro is pretty op, whit 20 vampires u can clear allmost anything, and if u capture other towns u can turn hydras, green and red dragons into skeletal dragons, and litches are suprisingly strong even in low numbers, specialy when they can create a meatshield as they kill their opponents, whit necromancy.

litches are never a problem for me when I play against Necro. Vampires, Dread Knights and skelletons are. Also, cove is not from real Heroes 3 (it's fan made), so I don't count it, but I agree that haspids are strong as shit

the Behemoth AI was bad, it didn't attack the Vampire, focus the useless Zombies instead, I'm pretty sure if it attacks the Vampire while still having high numbers Stronghold would have won

If AI of necro would be same smart, it would protect the vampires, so behemots cannot attack it. It also removed liches and dread knights very quickly, which wasnt bad idea. Necro won also because ghost dragons proced 2 times, which basicaly halved HP of cyclops.

yes, the ghost dragon added a fair bit to the win, but even then Stronghold would have had a chance if the Behemoth hits the vampire only once right after killing the Lich, since every other unit focused the vampire he wouldn't have had enough health left to regenerate to a number relevant in the outcome of the battle, plus by that time Necro didn't have enough units to even shield the vampire properly, but other than that it was a pretty fair battle until that point

That's true, vampires need to be eliminated first to the number, they cannot drain themself back to full stack. Otherwise, it can be too late, and they win battle even on their own.

if you mean that they didn't also attack the chieftains when attacking the behemoths you're right. But in the end they were still the last man standing, so I guess they knew what they were doing lol

When fighting Vampire Lords, they need to be focused down and then they die quickly. They don't do nearly enough damage to sustain themselves against 4-7 stacks units attacking them every round. Also, as long as Vampires don't have Counterstrike spell casted on them, when more than one stack attacks them, they have a bad time to keep themselves alive because they retaliate only once. The AI made the mistake that it attacked Vampire Lords only sporadically and melee stack at a time, allowing them to heal themselves and causing all that damage to go to waste.

3:15 - Huh? This new Death Cloud attack hurts allied undead units too if they are in the center? That's why I didn't see the Liches use it more often in other fights. I guess it's better that way, because if it wasn't, it would be too convenient and overpowered. Everyone facing Liches would have to stand 3 hexes apart from each other at all times, even when attacking enemy units in melee.

+am geir.... well said dude, although, to be honest a human player would also enter the battle with skelletons that are at least 2-3 times more then the opponent's tier 1 creature, and that is yet another threat you have to deal with. Actually, the whole strength of Necro lies on the shoulders of skellies, vampires and dread knights. You neutralize these 3 creatures first and fast the rest is easy

I would actually be curious to see how pros deal with the cheat necro town when played by another pro player. Ok, one solution would be NOT to let Necro amass skeletons, but I'm sure in some games that's not possible, so how do you defeat a good necro player in mid to late game. I'd so LOVE to see such a battle xD

Necropolis has a few notable weaknesses, their ghost dragon's aren't that good, and even if he masses skellingtons they are still only lvl 1 and die if you just hit them enough. undead are also bad at mixing new units into their army, so you can easily have an extra stack of dragons or titans, without it killing their morale.

Why with Necro you use 3000 upgraded skeletons but 3200 unupgraded? I noticed this in other Necro videos too. Shouldnt be the correct number 3000 always?

Both have similar army Power. Dungeon have better lineup for sieges and have good heroes in both classes. Rampart have great hp amd defense. And Gold Dragons can be easily killed because of 1-4 spell immunity (vulnerable to implosion).

Also, vampires should ALWAYS be killed 1st when playing against necro EDIT: I just noticed that Power Liches hit their own Ghost Dragons with that cloud. Odd...

Stronghold has to be one of the weakest towns due to both shooters low hp/meele penalty and both lvl1 and lvl2 are so weak, only one flyer and the cost for ogre fort and cyclop cave is so high.

lmao necro is so broken that it's banned in tournaments. Skellies are multipled nonstop through endless battles, and they're even more dangerous if it's Gathran you're controlling. Zombies are relatively useless, but they're also quite tanky. Wraths also seem useless, but they have this annoying mana stealing ability, which will help a lot when your opponent is about to run out of mana. Lv4-5-6 creatures are broken as fuck, especially the Lords. The only truly weak Necro creature are those Ghost Dragon, but again they have Age, which can be also quite annoying

bla bla What's wrong with Necro being a cheat town? Just don't mess with the dead and you'll be alright, chum. Also, it isn't really cheat, as their strong tier 4, 5 and 6 units don't make up for weak tier 1, 2 and 3 units and incredibly weak lvl 7 unit. Vampire Lords and Dread Knights are pretty much the real army of any Necromancer, all others are but cannon fodder, whereas Castle and Tower have massively useful and competent units all around. You, my friend, don't know what a true balance is if you think Necropolis is unbalanced.

Oh, and here's a pro tip for you: if you ever wanna learn the game (therefore to have a chance at winning games, too) stop playing cheat towns like Necro and Castle. After you manage to do that CONSTANTLY (like 8 or 9 times out of 10 games) only then I will allow you to come here and clog my AWESOME thinking with your unfounded bias. Now begone!
