For anyone wanting to know why E.T.C. wanted me to uninstall it was because I tried to disengage a fight where everyone was below 20% hp and E.T.C went in with his Mosh Pit, locking up 2 people for about three fourths of a second and because my wind tapped them, it didn't even knock them outside of his dance zone and he immediately died afterwards he just said fuck you get lost.

Hammer's ult travels around 16-18 seconds but i Believe that it is fixed amount of time needed for it to circle. Look at that blue line. It is same lengh regardless of positioning or slightly shorter.

Sgt. Hammer is by far my favorite hero. I love messing with melee warriors, going siege mode behind a natural wall/hedge and blasting away at them. By the time they walk all the way around that wall I'll have almost killed them and have more than enough time to run away. Prime example is this map right here. I hide behind those hedges and blast melee as they approach. By the time they reach me I'm long gone waiting in ambush in a bush. For ultimate I usually prefer the napalm because it has a stupid low cool down, and people tend to ignore it if they're focused on other things. Although, there was this really memorable time I destroyed an enemy Core with the BFG. Was pretty sweet. I also prefer to choose the thrusts over first aid. Every 15 seconds I've got an "Oh shit run away!" button.

That BFG seems to do 0 damage to heroes. At level 20, it becomes pretty damned decent at consistently, effectively, split pushing without requiring anyone to do anything, but then, you are almost always without an ultimate, unless you want to give up that pushing for another one and a half minutes. Compared to the 10 or so seconds of napalm strike, which us useful from the level you get it, and can be used almost carelessly because of it's cool down and mana costs being really good, it's just like, you lose so much opportunity cost by choosing the BFG.

I feel like people constantly being 'just beyond the borders' of the kingdom is exactly why Hammer should almost always take Hover Siege Mode, it allows for those small range adjustments on the fly.

I've been playing a lot of hammer recently, and your build is quite different. I'm not a huge fan of the healing talents you picked. I'd normally go for Focused Attack for improved burst (take down a tower or two while no one is looking) or the Maelstrom Shell to increase "the size of my kingdom". Since the hammer's health is quite low (you are a tank...but you're not a...ya know...TANK) I find is best to actually just leave, so Hyper-Cooling Engines is my choice. At 13, I do vary between Giant Killer or First Strike, depending on the game. Hover Siege Mode is by far the superior talent at 16. But you did make the BFG look interesting, so I'll have to give it a go. I usually go for Napalm for pushing lanes or zoning out enemies, and Fury of the Storm with fully speced basic attacks is ridiculous!

Btw the blue line on your upgraded ult shows that it still goes up the same distence as the highest point of the map would so I believe it only makes a difference for the moment you shoot (you wont shoot off the map so it will be faster then the rest of the shots but after that it starts from full bottom of blue line so problem spent make a difference (it probably works the same way to make a perfect cube of extra space on the map (hori is longer but the extra space on very makes it even) just thinking out loud I didn't littersly measure both sides of the map. ;P

I just realized that at a point I paused at, it says Stitches had nine takedowns, but that Pally's team had a total of nine deaths in all. Is a takedown different from killing an enemy hero? If not, then how is that possible? If so, then what specifically is a take down?

This game doesn't have a kill or assist system. If you help kill an enemy hero then you get a takedown. It's like a kill and assist in 1 but whoever participated gets one. Technically your entire team can receive full credit for a penta (5 kills in quick succession)

doesn't matter how you use your ult on the map there is a blue line when it crosses that line the 15 sec start , not when it exits the map but when it crosses the blue line.

Great video and fun match as always MFPallytime. JJE did play well too, the problem with mobas its that a good player cannot play effectively most of the time because most of his team make questionnable decisions and/or doesn't engage/disengage when its needed, doesn't push when its time to, or doesn't take mercs camps when its time to do so. And instead of analysing the situation, many players will just go for insults in the chat. Lot of people always blame someone else for everything that goes wrong in a game and often when they made the mistake themselves...

Agreed, and even though the ETC was hostile, he might actually have had a good strategy, you know when the communication just doesn't follow up from all parts, it's really difficult to predict and execute those strategies properly! I fully agree with you mate!

It took me 4 games to realize that I didn't have to exit siege mode to use my thrusters. 1 more game to finish my build, and 1 more to master it. So, it took me about that many games that mostly involved people saying my Tank sucks. NEVER AGAIN. It's Hammer time!

The most difficult choices as Hammer is: vampiric assault or maelstrom shells? and hover siege mode or graduating range? I tend to pick napalm strike on small maps, like haunted mines and pirate map and pick BF gun for the raven map, DS and garden

That being said, I went over to HoTs the day it released and I've only run across a few negative people and I assume they came from LoL or Dota where one person can be MVP and they don't realize this is a co-op game.

Hammer chases actually really well. You need to get out of the mind set that she always has to be in seige mode. If you get the other ulti you chase even better. Just follow them and constantly ulti while they run from whoever else is chasing them with ya.

so, question: if you're hidden, is your magic circle hidden, or can the enemy team see it? I'd like to think its hidden, but I keep trying to watch for it in videos where someone has a Hammer on the enemy team when they play, and I can never quite catch if they can see the siege circle or not when the tank is hidden (unless they take the invis talent)

It's hidden.If anyone takes the Stealth Strike Talent at lvl 1 it becomes obvious as when they attack you sudden find yourself knee deep in their range. So I can confirm hidden = Invisible blast zone

Hey MFPallytime new heroes player (got lucky and got a key \o/) so I wanted to ask which one of those heroes would you recommend to buy first, Murky, Sgt Hammer or Abathur. So far I bought Raynor and Anub'arak and I'm enjoying them greatly. Thing is I like them all, watched some videos here and I just can't choose one over the other. And since they are not in the cheap side, I would love some input before getting/spending the money. Thanks!

Basicly what Pallytime explains in several of his videos where he does feel like he gets carried away, is that the "shittalking" he does is not that much serious complaints about their performance, more of their attitude. - Besides, it is only fair to state their mistakes when they iniciate the hate war towards players that make common team communication mistakes but actually master the game aspects really well with good team-communication. To me it's sort of like saying; This one person in school talks shit about you, yet you return with polite comments, or actually agree with him when you really don't. - A bully sometimes need to be treated with his own medication to understand the effect of what he is doing wrong. To be fair, Pallytime stated the facts of his performance in a demeaning way yes, but only because ETC felt the freedom to do so himself about PunisherJJE for something pitty, Pallytime never insulted him though, saying "You're shit ETC" "Uninstall ETC" or alike. But of course I might just be more accepting to Pallytimes way of treating such toxic people than what you might be, and that is fair too! :)
