I would put failnaught in S tier because it’s one of 2 relics with 2 range and the only relic with 3 range. Fallen star is also a really good combat art with high hit, crit, and might. Not to mention the free dodge. Just as good as the sword of the creator imo.

Zachary Youngblood yeah in my personal tier list it was below failnaught and sublime creator sword were below thyrsus and Aymr but above thunderbrand and areadbhar. Having a powerful range option is just too good

The main issue with the creator sword is it's locked to byleth, so unless you have byleth as a flier the opportunities to use it are limited. I feel that if anyone could use it it would be an easy s tier considering how repairing it is rarely an issue.

If you mean the resting thing you are giving up time that could be used to improve your character's skills, get stat boosting items, give units max motivation for lessons instead of only 50%, grind supports, or do a bunch of other things that are way more valuable than the Umbral steel you'll be swimming in by later in the game.

I can understand that with sword of the creator, but amyrs effect is too broken for it being edlegard exclusive to hold it back. You could argue that the difficulty of repairing amyr compared to thrysus not having to worry about that could put it's utility above that of amyr, which is much more debatable.

Yea no aymr effect to kill 6 enemies in one turn 7 with a dancer its way way to good also she will oneshot most enemies with it too so you can use its effect without worrying about taking damage like some weaker relic combat arts plus you can end most maps in one turn without warp the only downside is repairing it and thyrsus yes while it can be used on any mage i find is best on lysithea becuase she is so reliable at killing things esspecially in maddening where most offensive mages just cant onshot the way she does without support and if for some reason she doesnt get the oneshot she is also one of your fastest mages and will probably avoid a double i do agree it should be above the sotc

Now imagine someone like Jeralt rocking Aymr. He already comes packed with a Crest of Seiros, so no damage after combat, his stats are through several roofs at once, his unique skill, Blade Breaker, makes sure that if an enemy were to somehow survive a turn of combat, they're not doing a damn thing on the enemy phase.

The list is really solid . I'd definitely put Lance of Ruin and Thunderbrand higher though just out of sheer availability. You get Ruin so early and it is by far your best weapon at the time aside from the sword of the creator. And Thunderbrand is a super early weapon too But it's possible you aren't really taking availability into account, in which case I don't have any disagreements.

Mercie has a considerably low lucky while high res, making her a competitive dark flyer. Rafail gem here has its uses for mitigating one shot delete from sniper and negating crit from tanking death, fimbuvetr.

Luin’s combat art is actually really good. I personally would rank it higher. And Aymr is obviously broken, but I feel like because it’s combat art really only allows a few uses each time, it isn’t as good as it really should be. Maybe I’m just dumb though. And Lance of Ruin should absolutely be higher. Incredible damage and you get it so early in the game. Other than that, pretty good list

Burning Quake (Luin's combat art) has the lowest base damage additive for a relic art besides the unevolved sword of the creator. It does scale damage off of speed but at the point at which your speed is high enough for that to really matter, you're often better off just doubling. Not to mention that it only reaches crazy damage because of ingrid's ridiculous speed growth but when analyzing in a vacuum and not based on character (which is what he;'s doing in this video), it wouldn't be as strong.

Snake USA Snake USA I get that, that’s all well and good, but $25 is $25 that a lot of people don’t have to get 2 Hero’s Relics and a side story I wouldn’t exactly call worth that price tag... neither is anything else you get with the package. The main game is fine, and I feel that Vajra-Mushti shouldn’t be in the same class as Thunderbrand because 1. They’re different weapons. 2. Pay wall, not paying $25 just to get a relic that may or may not be of use later on in the main story, because whatever. I’ll splurge it out when I feel I can waste Twenty-Five unnecessary dollars. 3. It’s a Gauntlet weapon, ALL gauntlets guarantee 2 hits, unlike swords where only the Brave Sword and Thunderbrand guarantee 2 hits. If you don’t see where I’m getting at, you’re hopeless. They shouldn’t be disregarded from the tier lists, but in terms of very specific things, yeah. If this upsets you, just know I was being really fucking tame, I am honestly pretty heated that you didn’t read the comment and try to understand the context before commenting back at me.

The Lances are way too low IMO. Luin is light, decent might, great combat art for Ingrid. Lance of Ruin is high damage for Sylvain with swift strikes for a free delete button. Both are far better than Freikugel, Crusher or Blutgang. The magic weapons are decent but they don't have the overall utility, and they're pretty niche. And Freikugel is a low hit axe, while powerful, isn't better than the 2 Lances.

The best use for Mercedes’a relic is for flying units like Ingrid or Constance because bows are such a problem for low hp units and the aegis shield was good for Felix because he has low hp and movement isn’t really a trouble if you use the movement buff they give you from beating cindered shadows

Are you ranking the Sword of The Creator and Sublime Creator Sword differently? They have VERY different stats. I would say Sword of The Creator is B tier, but Sublime Creator Sword is easy S tier. Also, Felix's Aegis Shield is really only useful if he is in Grappler. It makes it easier to get Weight -3 and it increases his Dexterity, allowing for higher proc rates.

I use it on mortal savant build with Felix. it is a strong shield with a nice passive that buffs itself (more dex increases the trigger rate.) and it is very low weight.

Areadbhar should be higher tbh cause it is very very powerful in it's ability to one hit obliterate any foe. 19 Mt making it one of the strongest weapons only surpassed by like 7 weapons in total, 4 of them being refined, and gives a rediculous amount of damage when using Atrocity with 2x Mt and adding 15 extra Mt as well. Basically meaning when using this weapon you'll have a 68 Mt weapon. Then you have a chamce to double your damage when using Atrocity as well that to say the damage potential with Areadbhar is ridiculous is an understatement. So in total when Atrocity is out your 19 Mt lance goes to 68 Mt to all foes. Meanwhile most combat arts only target one or maybe two different enemy types. Also due to being effective against every foe, he can break ?onster and Demonic Beast Sheilds in one hit as well.

I think you're really underselling the Aegis Shield by thinking about it within the context of Felix. The stat boost to protection is incredible on characters who are more bulky or going for more bulky builds. As an example you can reach 0 damage against the Remire Death Knight encounter even on Maddening on a Fortress Knight with the Aegis Shield and a proper Battalion alongside some gardening. You don't even need a single point of Defence on level ups to achieve this benchmark. It also helps that you get it quite early while enemy attack can be somewhat low where it will have the most impact. Like even without gardening or defence level ups a Fortress Knight with the Fraldarius battalion (using that since it comes with the Shield anyways), the Aegis Shield, and Defence +2 will AT BASE have 41 protection. Enough to easily trivialize almost all of Part 1 from the physical side. Garden as the game goes along and put this onto a character with an okay Defence growth and they'll generally be able to keep trivializing physical damage throughout the vast majority of the game. As an alternative you can throw it on a high Res magic user alongside something like the Gloucester Knights with the Defence gardening and have an absurdly bulky mixed bulk magic user. It isn't as easy to just slap on anyone and get use out of but if you build for some bulk then you can get an exceptional amount of mileage out of the Aegis Shield and even trivialize much of Maddening in large part thanks to it.

but even for felix on maddening it lets him actually take hits while he will never be able to double the fast units like swordmasters and assassins and while he will still be able to most likely double the units he could without the shield and if he needed to he could just take it off and put on a speed ring and someone can trade him the shield to equip if he would die from a hit as well i think people really undervalue the aegis shield just because its 6 weight even though weight -3 exists with felix can get without too much trouble because he doesn't have a weakness in armored

Crusher in A tier? I approve. Annette is one of those secret bosskillers in Azure Moon that gets overlooked because her name isn't Lysithea. I think Dust can OHKO bosses in the lategame just because Annette's Magic is pretty solid (50% growth) with solid Speed growths beside it to bolster her Avoid (in fact, her Avoid against magic users is also solid thanks to a relatively high Luck growth too) meaning that she can actually get to bosses without dying. The problem comes with base 5 Move in Gremory but this is the single most low-Move friendly game in the series so it's not too much of a big deal. And the kicker for Dust? Super-effective against Dragons and it comes with -5 Def debuff. Is it dead yet?

I think that the accessorys are the best in the Game because ,you can let anyone use them but if you give it to an unit with the right crest, the pavisse and aegis effects of the relic will activate based on your dexterity stat, not only that, the normal pavisse and aegis skills stack with the relics and if you have the right crest item half of your dexterity stat will get added again for example: Felix with the aegis shield and a dexterity of 50 50% chance to perk From his crest + 25% Chance from the pavisse and aegis skills + 25% Chance from the crest item =100% So you basically have double your defenses for Lorenz/Lysithea,yuri,felix and mercedes

You have to look at value over replacement for these meaning what is the next best item the character would be using. For example, crusher is only 2 might more than bolt axe+ but bolt axe+ as a range of 1-3. That is not worth giving up for a character with not great defense. Also you slept on Failnaught's combat art which allows Claude to avoid all attacks during the next round of combat meaning he can safely initiate on any boss in the game with his combat art and not take damage. That should be s tier.

There's also literally no good reason to ever do that, unless you're doing a solo run on a unit that isn't Byleth. Losing 2 range and the combat art takes away everything that makes the weapon really good, and 10 weight is a pretty big deal. What you're suggesting is just objectively way worse than just using the sword on Byleth. It's a good Astra weapon? Rest only repairs 5 uses, so you'd have to waste an entire month to get it up to full from nothing, and the Sword of the Creator only has 20 uses. Astra costs 9 durability, so the sword could only Astra twice. It's not a good Astra weapon at all, repairing other weapons is much less of a waste. And that isn't even getting in to the fact that Astra isn't a very good combat art. It's the only hero's relic that has worse stats when used with a non-compatible unit. If you want to use Astra, just use a forged steel sword, that's 55 durability and decent might you've got there.

thyrsus I just stick it on lysithea so she cat hit people farther away with her broken ass attacks and since she naturaly has the crest of Gloucester it is even better not to mention she has the major crest in addition I have learned to use it in combination with the warp spell to get someone half way across the battlefield

I’d have probably put rafail gem in A, blutgang in C and Vajra-Mushti (or however it’s spelled) in B Raphail gem: the crit nullification can help and the effectiveness nullification makes it passable on any mounted unit. Blutgang: it’s alright but it’s stats don’t really make it good enough to use over magic attacks Gauntlets: They’re quite heavy and quiet strong but unlike the thunderbrand, they don’t offer something over the majority of gauntlets like it does swords.

I’m definitely not saying that they’re bad but they aren’t offering enough to go into A tier imo.

At that point, other gauntlets will usually get the same work done with the relic ones just making it so you might be able to kill before a counter compared to any other one. They’re nice to have and have their uses but I just generally don’t think they offer enough to justify A tier.

The relics were made for their original crest-bearers imo. Creator Sword literally can only be used by Byleth Amyr's combat art gives Edelgard another action (its also exclusive to her i believe) Areadbhar kills every last one of them Failnaught's combat art fits Claude perfectly (free dodge scheme) Thunderbrand fits Catherine's playstyle really well, as she's a Swordmaster, and with the weapon she will most likely quad things. Crusher is magic. No more to say. Blutgang is ALSO magic. Again, nothing to say, considering Marianne's mainly a magic user. Lance of Ruin and Luin are pretty identical imo, one is lighter and weaker, but more accurate, fitting for a pegasus knight, and the Lance of Ruin hits like a truck, fitting for a grat knight/wyvern lord. Freikugel... Not sure how this really relates to Hilda. Rafail Gem makes a squishy healer like Mercedes a little bulkier, so she won't get deleted by a high-strength unit. Aegis Shield is similar, making Felix, your slightly tankier Swordmaster, a little tankier. Fetters of Dromi. 2 Mov AND Canto. Yuri's a canon trickster, so when he gets Foul Play, he can swap and then Canto to a forest or something to dodge tank. Vajra-Mushti fits the almighty King of Grappling well, as it's a gauntlet weapon which acts as a brave weapon.

Since Thunderbrand is mostly a beefed up Brave Sword, I think it works good on many others, as I almost never use its Combat Art. Vaajra-Mushti is kind of the same since Eviscerate is only a single strike. The Aegis Shield I give to defense tanks like Gilbert so they can utiluze Defiant Defense.

You can trade before attacking provided the enemy is in the units attack range from the tile they traded on, you can’t have a unit trade after they attack though (so another unit can trade with them but attacking locks out the trade command) same rules apply to the convoy command

To say this politely, I don't think you did all that goo representing the relics properly and you gave wrong information about a few of them Aegis Shield and Fretters of Dromi for example do the same thing, with the difference that the Shield gives more resistance and defense while Dromi gives the wearer +1 movement. Besides, Yuri's defenses are so trash that not even Aegis and Pavise can save him, so it's not even that useful unless it's a generic enemy in an intimate or below class And Aymr has a 60% hit chance, not 90% There's other things I can point out, but I think I'm just going to make a my own tier list. I unfortunately don't have a microphone to make a video Edit to add: I just remembered you said you're not taking Crests into consideration considering anyone can use a Relic (just people without a Crest will take damage) However, Crests are super important. Fretters of Dromi would be so much lower on the tier list if you didn't take Crest of Aubin into consideration since you put it so high up on the list because it has Aegis and Pavise (same with Aegis Shield) but Aegis and Pavise are only on Dromi if it's equipped by someone with the Crest of Aubin. So if Dromi was worn by anyone else with a Crest, they would only get the movement boost, not Aegis and Pavise This was a very unga bunga video

There is nothing special about the sword of the creator. The sword of the creator having 1-2 range doesn't matter much when every archer in the game gets 3 range or more. The combat art is more damage and nothing else. I'm sorry but it is absolutely not S tier. Meanwhile you ranked Areadbhar below it despite it being the stronger weapon and having a way stronger combat art. You mentioned that other weapons you have to be more careful with using but all the weapons are 20 use and you shouldn't be overusing any of them including the sword of the creator. The sword of the creator repairs itself by 5 when you rest but resting is a waste of time that can be used to explore and build supports while maxing out everyone's motivation for lessons. By the end of the game you will be swimming in the umbrella steel used to repair most relics anyways.

If it got 1 more space of range to counter archers, an actually unique combat art(maybe a sword version of swift strikes/fierce iron fist to match up with the animation), or was normally a monster killing weapon like the blessed weapon it would be s-tier but as it stands it shouldn't really be put in the same place as the most powerful combat art in the game that is effective against all enemies for even more damage or the combat art that straight up gives you another turn. I'm not saying that it is below c-tier in fact its strength relative to its weight is pretty good, I'd rate it B-tier but could be convinced it's even A-tier for the high damage of its sword combat art. It just definitely isn't enough to be considered S.

Most of the time at least on hard it still one-shots, not to mention it being one of the lightest relics in the game means it will have little to no effect on your AS.

Broken weapons become heavier, and if they have extra range, then they lose that once broken. Also, their hit rate takes a massive drop, along with a practically 0 crit rate. You can look it up if you don’t believe me, because I’ve tested this myself. Losing range and increasing weight are the most prominent aspect of a broken weapon. @@zimzam900 Honestly it's mostly just you and the few people who overvalue Dim's Battalion Vantage + Wrath combo....Edel is the best unit in the game and it's kind of not close. Top 10? Who do you put above her? Lol she's at least top 3 and most people do put her #1. She has the highest STR in the game, easily can become the best class in the game (Wyvern Lord), Has the best combat art in the game. Dim contests the top spot, but only if you are very aware of the game's mechanics where Edelgard is idiot-proof in how good she is. And again, she's the only unit in the game that can take multiple turns without dancing...she's absurd.

@@ZygonCannar Edelgard doesn't have the highest strength growth in the game, that's Dimitri. It's only Aymr that makes people rank Edelgard highly. But a weapon alone doesn't make one the best unit in the game. Perhaps you're not aware of Dimitri's battalion wrath/vantage combo but he's essentially the enemy phase unit and he doesn't need the weapon to make him broken. Edelgard has the player phase weapon skill but I guarantee you if she didn't have that combat art, nobody would claim she's the best.
