Had some trouble with a few bits like getting visuals to work after changing the ability (made it a movement reduction rather than damage) which are now working OK but so happy to be able to make these now. Thank you again!!

@@ozzycake5200 We are happy that those videos are still actual even if the series ended long time ago. Community is the real reason Heroes still lives in 2020 (be it H3, H5 or H7).

@@WorldofheroesCzOriginal That definitely is true, so sad for the game to be abandoned :( This has been one of my favourite gaming series for a long time, though H4 was my main love for a long while. I wonder if you could please help me with something? Not sure where was a better place to ask!! I'm trying to copy the creature special abilities folder so that I can edit them all in the same way that the Heroes folder was done in this video but it's not letting me save the new version, with the error: "Warning: Can't save C:\Users ot_m\Documents\My Games\Might & Magic Heroes VII\MMH7Game\EditorWorkspace\H7CrAbilitiesSpecial_NEW.upk: Graph is linked to external private object H7FXObject H7CrAbilitiesSpecial.A_ArcaneWings:H7FXObject_4083 (mFXS)" - is there something about the Arcane Wings ability that stops this working/do you know how to make this work? No worries if this takes too long to reply to I know it's asking a lot!!

@@ozzycake5200 Hmm, those warnings could be because of some dependencies. When you move/copy ability or spell, you also have to make sure all links are updated (to new/custom map or package) - the green arrows. Also, some of the GFX (graphical effects) could not be copied as it will always cause an error or crash.

Is it possible to just edit heroes portraits? Like swapping current pictures with for example those from heroes 4?

Yes, just get you favorite hero portrait from HIV and import it into HVII replacing copied portrait of already existing hero in the game as seen in this tutorial.

Yes, you can replace the hero icon as any other images. Just check my tutorials, I think I also replaced the icon (its the same procedure as for custom unit).
