I've never feared for any character in any creative medium like I have with Jon Snow. The ultimate story of a bastard spit upon his entire life, to be destined for greatness. If you watch that scene again after knowing Jon's history, it is obvious keeping the secret of Jon's heritage, is eating Ned alive from the inside. Lies are the Bane of Honorable Men. Really makes my head hurt writers with level of skill ruining the 8th season. You would think even following the book for 5 seasons, some of Georges talent would rub off on the show writers.

I think the fact Ned could sense Bran at the Tower of Joy could play into the story next season. I think Bran will show Jon and Ned will tell him in some way. The name of the book series is A song of Ice and Fire, Aegon Targaryen/Jon Snow IS the song of Ice and Fire, so basically the whole series is about Jon Snow and the prophecy of Azor Ahai and how he gets the entire realm together to fight the "BIGGEST THREAT" to humankind in a 1000 years, But they overshadowed the character by giving him stupid dialogues. And in the end, Arya simply zooms past the white walkers to kill the Night King. I have read the books and they are SO SO GOOD. It is a shame that those two nutters spoiled this show. It may very well have been the best fantasy series of all time.

I'm not so much curious how Jon and Dany will react to being related but rather I am more interested to see how they'll react to Jon (Aegon) being the heir to the Iron Throne. Dany has spent her entire life in Essos preparing to return to Westeros to take back the Iron Throne but she'll find out that entire time preparing was all for nothing. I doubt Jon will step down as heir since if he successfully leads Westeros against the Army of the Dead all of Westeros will want him as king.

Joshua Davidson agreed, Danny might see a rival, but only if Jon expresses interest in the throne, which is something he has never done. We may get a tense moment between the two, but I really don’t see Jon actually wanting the throne himself Now as for other people Jon is a male heir, and I hate to say it, but in the time period that GoT is set, male heirs trump female ones, even though Danny is the daughter of the mad king, and Jon is only a grandson, Danny would still get passed over, as Jon is also the son of her father’s own first born son and heir, making his claim stronger. And of course, this is not going into the fact that the north may never accept Danny as their queen. They fought against the Targyerians (I probably butchered that spelling), and after everything they’ve suffered at the hands of the south, Jon may be the only king they recognise And once Jon’s lineage is known to the people, their going to want him as king too It’s not going to be so much Jon WANTING the throne, as other people putting him there. How that will all play out.... Only season 8 will give us the answers to that

This is not an issue. Jon will never want the throne. And if they marry, it's even less if an issue. The easiest thing in the world to resolve.

@@commandercritic9036 You have to think of it in the line of succession as well; Rhaegar was first in line for the throne, that automatically makes Jon higher up in line of succession as his son than Dany who was his sister. Even if Dany was male, Jon would have a more legitimate claim to the throne because of the line of succession.
