The biggest thing that stands out to me is the fact that Clark was raised by a father's simple wish to raise a good man. Not a hero, not a god, but to be a good man that others can follow to be good themselves. This is the reason for a father's life. Thanks Dad

"He's more human than I am" sounds like the natural attitude of Batman towards Superman, as there are things that Batman lacks, even on a rudimentary level, that Superman has in spades. Batman is technically human, but his humanity is something he's had to shun, or even neglect in some instances, for the sake of being who he needs to be to serve justice; Superman, while an alien, has humanity and doesn't forsake it in order to carry out his duty to the people he cares for.

I have loved Superman since I was a small child. I watched the 1950's Superman TV show reruns when they were on network TV. He has been my hero since then. It is now decades later. I am no longer a small child, I am in the twilight of my life. But I still have all my Superman comic books, I still have all the Superman movies from 1977s Christopher Reeve up to Justice League. There are lines from the comic books that are burned into my mind and I have carried since my childhood and will continue to carry beyond death into whatever may come. My favorite, "What makes Superman who he is? Is it his power? No, for any child of Krypton would have his power. Is it his wisdom? No, for anyone that lives and learns can gain wisdom. It is the fact that he uses this power, and this wisdom to protect others, and do what is right." I took those words to heart. When I was faced with decisions in my life, I asked "What is right?" He may be a comic book character, and maybe I am an overgrown child... But Superman provided a moral compass before I was old enough to understand religious concepts. Jesus is my savior, but Superman was my hero. Thank you for making this tribute. If I had the skills I would have attempted one myself years ago.

Brought tears to my eyes, especially the scenes which included his dad. I had reached a point in my career where I was about as close as you can be to being the "top dog". And then I lost all of it and more, career, marriage, even was moments away from losing my life. Through it all the one solid anchor in my life was my dad. Never once did he ask me how things had gotten so bad. All he kept saying, and showing, was how I'd overcome the obstacles, how much he believed in me, how much he loved me. I did slowly overcome the obstacles, with dad's help and the help of many others. I was able to return his sacrifices in the last 3 months of his life by having the privilege to care for him. Two nights before he died, in the middle of the night while sitting on the bedside commode he said to me, "No matter how old I get, no matter how old you get, you're still my little boy and I am so proud of you. I love you." Thanks dad, for being an outstanding father and man, for being an amazing role model, for being my hero, and for never giving up on me, even in my darkest hours. I love you too, dad. The world may have avengers, batman, justice league, watchmen, many more superheroes, but no one can't ever be as great, as majestic, as inspiring as truly good, as incorruptible, as the grand and the mighty one and only superman

Superman isnt just a made up comic character hes a fundamental embodiment of a human being that we all should strive to be like, his values his honor and selflessness are something we should all look to mirror there is no peace in war it only destroys every possible solution

Superman maybe a fictional character. But I have always looked to his inspiration at the lowest times of my life. He stands for something.
@jasonpye46494 жыл бұрын
If the character has meant anything over the years to anyone, it's too help people find the hope they need and help those find purpose, when they need it the most. To find purpose, I believe, is one of the meanings of life of which there can be several. That's the trouble over the centuries, people have been looking for one single answer to the Eternal question.

I relate to Superman a lot. I had two amazing parents who raised me not to be perfect, but a good man and even with all the harsh times and difficulties I’ve remained strong and I will always keep fighting until I see a better world for the people I care about and I will never let anything take that away from me

With all this Spiderman/Sony/Marvel drama happening lately, this video was really refreshing in that it was inclusive of ALL the various media, stations, series, etc. Opinions, facts, & theories on all that aside, it's nice to have appreciation for what we do have.

"The world needs Superman, and the team needs Clark". This line speaks volumes. The world needs Superman for his optimism and his "never give up attitude". The team needs Clark because of his heart and personality. What a beautiful tribute, I've subscribed and you just deserve so much more for putting together something this wonderful. Thank you.

His powers don't make him super! His heart does. He is more human than any single one of us on this entire planet. That is what makes him super. Ofcourse his powers make him a physically superior being on this planet, but that is valid only on the planet. His heart, the goodness in him, that is something that he embodies in himself and that is applicable anywhere in the entire universe. To anyone who thinks Superman is a one-dimensional character, think twice. Each one of us tries to project our own self on to him. Each one of us tries to be super in our own way. We try to help others, we try to save others, we try to save humanity, we try to save the planet. Isn't that what being a Superman is all about? The powers don't matter, all that matters is if our heart is in the right place. I love Superman with all my heart, not beacuse he is ultra powerful but beacuse he possesses the enormous humility to be extremely gentle with each and every one of us. That for me, is the true definition of a real superhero.❤️ Long live Superman.

This one video induces more emotion on me than entire MCU combined, don't get me wrong I love marvel comics too, but DC hits different. Love that they included OG JL series, other animated movie/series and CW shows too.

I want you to know that I come back to this daily for inspiration. Been dealing with a lot recently, and have been in a dark place mentally for a long time. Finally embracing the light and hope through the many iterations of this character has given me so much strength. Thank you for that, my friend.

The madlad did it again. I've been a DC nerd since early high school, but I've rarely felt this proud to bear that label. Some truly amazing stories and ideas have been forged with these heroes, and it was great to see them all brought together like this. As usual, an excellent tribute.

MoS is great (I've maintained this since release), BvS is a catastrophe. But the good parts are the conflicting ideals of Superman and Batman. And how Batman needs Superman to maintain his hope in humanity.

Hope is what makes us strong. It is why we are here. It is what we fight with when all else is lost. Even in the darkest times hope cuts through, hope is the light that lifts us out of darkness. For hope is something you give yourself. That is the meaning of inner strength. This is the very reason why Hope is the one thing I believe in. And the reason I write this comment is because Kal-El/Superman is not only a Ture Hero but also a Symbol of Turth, Justice and above all Hope. Because that's what he stands for. Turth, Justice and Hope.

I can’t help getting tearful watching this. This is what hope is. This is what a hero is, not the powers or abilities but the humanity and willingness to move forward even in with the fear of losing everything and standing strong despite that.

In this age we are faced with moral dilemmas. But we have to remember that the heroes that we have created have come from the very humanity of who we are. Never forget that we all have a bit of Superman in us. USE IT!
