Great vid bro! Awesome books showcased! Couple of books I wasn't aware of are now firmly on my radar! Should try and make some more of these kind of vids as well!

Great video mate. If you like Booster Gold, check out the 95 cent Canadian news stand variant. Apparently it was less than 5% of the total print run.

I really - really like your video post on KZbin. I can tell in your voice you have a passion for comic book collecting and not a bragger or show off like some people are online. You are sincere and talked about each comic wisely and thoroughly. And congrats - you have a very nice collection. Some of the comics I have not heard of but Night Nurse, Bone, and Goon are def on my radar and Want List. Keep doing what you are doing bro' and hopefully will meet you at a Comic Con somewhere. Thanks --

I also bought many indie books at the comic shop. There are so many new ones, it got too expensive to buy everyone I saw. But, I did buy the Goon #1 way back in the late 90's because of that cool cover. Read it once, bagged and boarded. Glad I did.

Hello! Great video to watch! That's part of the fun of collecting: Finding and having books that is not necessarily super hot, but you know how tough they are to find..the print run, last issue of the series, a variant (Before that term was over used and done on purpose) It's the FUN of collecting , not just "How much is my comic worth?" Loved this video!

Hey Clint! I've always gone after last issues when I see em cause like you said, when they're canceling a book it's usually cause it's not selling well. That means they won't print a whole lot. Cursed Pirate Girl, not familiar with that one. Will keep an eye out for that. My Joe 155 is a 9.2 but yours is sharp! I read that the reason youtube is flagging music so heavy is cause Viacom is suing them for not enforcing their music copyrights. It's a real shame and it's sad to see that MTV has basically turned into the very thing it was rebelling against in the 80s.

I used to have a comic book and I forget what it's called. Anyways in the comic book there was a guy who wore kind of a super hero like blue costume with vertical white lines on his chest. I think the guy eventually turns into some sort of mud monster and there was another guy in a trench coat who killed kids with a screwdriver. Does anyone know the name of this comic book? I've been searching for it for years and I can't find any information about it.

aaron gibson anytime there is mention of a show or movie people go crazy and think they’ll be rich one day. Not realizing that millions of these books were printed. Even the newsstand copies. It’s always about supply and demand. And books that are naturally rare will always have the most value to collectors.

Gimmick or not it's still wanted by collectors and it's a lot older than a month or 2. Why argue about this? I collect what I like and so should you. Who cares when the book was made. Or what the supposed "TRUE" collector's market is. This is a hobby. It's supposed to be fun. I do this for fun. So have fun.

Ryan Brown There were multiple prints. The first print has the RED BONE. Do you have the 1st book with the RED Bone logo? Depends on condition. High grades can be over $1000 graded. Check ebay sold listings with green prices. Check from highest to Lowest.

The ones with the barcode are Newsstand they're a lot harder to find than direct Edition from your comic book store cuz what they did with the newsstand issues as they took the cover off and sent the cover back for credit for no sales I'm pretty sure you can find that same one without the cover I have one that some new stand it doesn't have the cover anymore I have the newsstand variant of the 9/11 tribute comic and I just found another part of it there's one more that I need to get out there's three of them I have two of them I have a moment in silence and Amazing Spider-Man number 36 in Newsstand
@herohunter81
@herohunter81 6 жыл бұрын
They’re not necessarily harder to find. Just harder to find in good condition. A lot of newsstands went to drugstores and grocery markets and would be damaged more often. Direct editions went to comic book stores and were taken care of more often because they were meant to be collected. You’ll see a lot less 9.8 Newsstands out there.
@herohunter81
@herohunter81 6 жыл бұрын
charlie larson Newsstands are cool but I like the low print run independent stuff. I’ve had books where only 50 existed. Those give me a rush. I’ve been more into gaming lately though. This shit is too expensive.

Sorry, to hear about the music, but ya your to valuable to the community to get three strikes from youtube. Most appreciated. Night Nurse is a sweet book to have, there is a little confusion if this is a different Linda Carter than the one that appeared in the 1961 title, Linda Carter - Student Nurse, different hair color, but are they the same character... I do not know if they have ever said they are or that there not.

I have between 100 and 200 thousand comics a lot of the ones you are talking about here are non main stream so not DC or Marvel yes lots of them did have a small print run but for the most part most people don,t want them if they did I would be rich by now ,I have tons of comics with low print runs and after 21 years of selling what will sell on a continuous basis is almost any first appearance and 2nd to that comics that came out before the direct market got big so pre 1982 so comics around 40 years old do pretty good to most of the rest just sit around.
@herohunter81
@herohunter81 9 жыл бұрын
Every book in this video would sell if I threw these up on eBay or wherever. I would get good prices too. There are a lot of collectors out there that gobble these types of books up. This video is old and I've actually sold a lot of the books in this video for a profit. A lot of these are first appearances too with The Goon 1 and Primer 2 just to name a couple. Pretty much every book I get someone else would go after the same thing. I got a good idea on what sells and what won't but I only like selling to buy better books. I like this hobby to pay for itself.
