You got ENFP sooooo right. Believing in goodness of people is not just in books, it got me in friendships that squeeze my heart and human relationships that suffocate it. Also my ISTJ mother/ and many teachers i had always warned me that people may have other motives and that the world is not an angelic place. I used to ignore them. I'm an ENFP and I totally agree! This video was shared in a Telegram group of MBTI friends I'm part of and I wrote this in response to the video: "I really agree with his ENFP, the "Eternal Optimist". I'm sure I've said her before I feel my brain has a switch for optimism hardwired to "on". When I'm down I can recover very quickly emotionally and usually do. It's nice to have an INTJ video where we are not just evil! This might surprise other types, or those with a cursory knowledge of typology, but we are going to have a fondness for INFP characters -- remember, it was George Orwell (INTJ) who wrote the character of Winston from 1984. And ENFPs are secretly adorable. But don't tell anyone we said that.
@riduckulus15742 жыл бұрын
by adorable you mean insufferably annoying right?

@@riduckulus1574 Honestly, both. There are two types of ENFP. 'Disney' ENFPs are as you describe, but the darker ones are cool. Colour and chaos. If you're willing to look beyond a surface level, you'll be surprised how deep your conversations will get if you give them a chance. The ones with the annoying-cute thing can feck off though.
@johnknight91502 жыл бұрын
@@sub.sa.3058 Interesting, would you say that applies to both male and female INFPs? On a simple, rational level, INFPs are easy to talk to about deeper, more universal concepts. On a deeper level of attraction (at least from this male INTJ towards INFP women), it's a lot more irrational and unconscious, and probably highly related to anima projections. Personally, looking back at my own history, it has always been INFP women for whom I instantly fell. When someone like Naomi Osaka is on telly, I can barely even think. I think the term "head over heels" is quite apt, all sense of up and down goes out the window and I lose all of my bearings. INFP women are probably the only people in the world who get to see the icky mushy side of INTJs, as if we turn into barely matured INFP children. We often become something we don't even recognise. I remember gushing to one INFP woman, who with a quizzical glance, remarked 'you look like a teenage girl!'
@johnknight91502 жыл бұрын
@@sub.sa.3058 Not annoying at all (I do it myself). Can you clarify what you meant with how you related "head over heels" to Fi-Ne? Wasn't sure what you meant there. With INFP blokes, I can't speak for the other INTJs, but I guess I have a soft spot INFP blokes and get on quite easily with them, as long as they're not *too* emotive. If they get girly and constantly need to talk out their feelings, well, bollocks to that, but I quite like the ones who are intuitive artistic types with a certain cultured presence. That strong empathy you have - secretly we have it too, and an INTJ would likely stick up for and aid most INFPs given the chance (especially looking out for school mates). Re: INTJ women, I've never met one, only seen interviews and television characters. I think they seem somewhat more stern, probably as learned reaction to a different environment. What interests me is their relationship to Se -- we INTJ blokes are secretly fetishistic, and enjoy a sensual relationship to certain forms (if there were a 24/7 secret camera, you might spot us stroke the textures of lush clothing, for instance). Perhaps by means of overcompensation, we are perhaps more feminine in that regard, while INTJ women seem to be more utilitarian. It may surprise you, and shatter many stereotypes, but I'm actually hankering for a time when I can have some spare cash to splash on some really good clothes with a classy aesthetic. I don't often think about things so trivial, but it's a kind of thirst that crops up from time-to-time. I want a strong signature look, and I want to exude a particular presence if possible, though I often find the real life process mind numbing.
@johnknight91502 жыл бұрын
@@sub.sa.3058 Interesting question. I don't think INTJs are very likely to wear jewellery, rings, etc. I've flirted with it, but ultimately it was just too impractical. We tend to always head in the direction of elegant simplicity - combinations involving perhaps something bold, but usually involving as few components as possible. If you ever want to see what it's like in an INTJ head, and a visual representation of INTJ tastes, check out 'Perfect Drug' by NIN. Dark colours, stark beauty, secret addictions and usually well hidden illicit desires - plus a strange habit of sounding like you're from another period of history. Re: Ni, I'm not sure fine details fit into its scope. Maybe sometime, deep into the process, but usually Ni wants to take 10,000 foot view of everything. We constantly have associations trigger from something we've just read, heard, or watched, and once we can pause and disengage from life's unfortunately necessary Te activities, our unconscious minds are always piecing together narratives to explain things in life. As a writer, I actually do most of my work away from the keyboard, when I go walking. As I walk through the landscape, my conscious mind largely just observes and records as my unconscious mind pieces together whatever I have been working on. I think the best way of describing Ni is taking impossibly large amounts of data (too large for the conscious mind to process), then filtering out anything that seems unnecessary until a strong and elegant narrative can be constructed. Re: INFP internal confusion, my ex would often get to 99% completion of something and stop. I think she was one or two hours away from getting her driver's licence, and to this day, I think she still doesn't have one. Always drove me bonkers, but the analyst in me also wanted to know what was happening internally to cause that.

Prefers stoicism > point 3 5. Has an improved future version of self at the back of your mind. 6. Non practicing machiavellian, NB. 7. Does things in absolutes. 8. Diligent in not repeating mistakes. 9. Wants to be understood, but does not know how to properly convey such understanding. 10. Suffers alone, hardly anyone who can help us, must help ourselves. 11. As some form of indulgence or controlled addiction. 12. Many, many interest and as such reads a-lot. 14. Arrogance either matured out or controls it. 15. Must regulate thoughts, more bad than good ones. An intj is a chameleon, and can be what ever or whoever serves the plan at that point in time , though this exercise can be exhausting it can makes social interactions work. Always learning never satisfied but aware of above average reservoir of knowledge. @westlethegreat63882 жыл бұрын
A logical person would always work out to maximize power output. Push in the right spots to maximize mechanical advantage? Sure. But power is important nomatter what form you use. -ENTP Yes I know that's not a cliche entp thing to say. But I've double checked my type quite a few times just in case and it seems pretty solid. Just to be clear. For more info, I used to think I might be intp since I can be quiet sometimes until I learned what extraversion and introversion is all about in mbti. It's interesting stuff. Anyway. Raw power and art go hand in hand. Nobody with a brain just picks one.
@kittu73152 жыл бұрын
@@westlethegreat6388 Yes, brute strength is one of the key part in a fight. And If the other person is stronger than you physically, then the the winning side is obviously slanted towards the stronger. And if someone is exceptionally weak and frail then I don't think any martial arts even the strongest or hardest can help that person. Being physically strong is the base point of every martial art. But not having enough brute strength doesn't mean you can't win a fight. But using witty tactics and plans can cope up with that person's shallow muscle power. And if we are to use whatever form we want to fight someone, I don't think we need a large amount of physical power. Just referring this to the movie 'Home alone', fighting like that kid (who doesn't seem strong physically) is possible. (And if you didn't get the movie reference, it's just about a kid who fights bad guys with traps and other cool brainy stuff and finally wasting them and making them regret what they did). If the 'form' you meant is a martial art then this paragraph is useless. Using the environment and other factors in it to fight can give you a huge advantage. And yes again for more info, I used to think I was an extrovert as I was very socially skilled. People usually mistakes the meaning of introverts as a person who speaks very little or not at all (not in the deaf dumb way).But studying and reading about personalities and other things made me realise that was just dumb. It is ofc not completely stupid, because introverts prefer quiet and alone time a lot, they get socially weaker and stops a lot of talking. So a majority of the introverts are actually quite and socially weak. But you can also be an introvert who is socially skilled and also be an extrovert who is socially unskilled.

I do think Ne tends by its very nature to be optimistic in its ability to always see some sort of options. Im not really getting a clear idea of your ENFP archetype hero though. amaybe because you didn't have any examples. I'd associate them with someone who either inspires/rallies the troops, or a dramatic persona with sort of Aries-esque, almost childlike resilience.

i don't know if you Naruto. He is one very good example of an ENFP main character.

Agreed, ENFP's are very perceptive, they don't tend to see the best in others since they intuitively can gather others motivations.

It's very modern MCU Spiderman esque. Like if John Hughes wrote a superhero

I have literally fantasized before that I would love to be a powerful side character that guides the protagonist for a while before ultimately exiting the main story. I want to help stop the bad guys and everything but getting too involved felt too troublesome lol. I felt so called out when you explained the INFJ one.

I am not interested in sports, let alone being a fan of a team or a sportsman, but funnily, I like to watch MMA or street fights and did a little bit of boxing, karate, judo myself during adolescence. So, yeah, got me a little bit there. :) --INTP

One great example that I think exemplifies the ESFP archetype pretty well would be Ben 10. Not only is he always willing to head into combat without hesitation, but it is also shown that over time, he experiences personal growth. At first, he starts out as an impulsive 10 year old who only thinks about the current moment, but then later in the series, he is able to examine his own morals and act of his own accord after maturing. The consistency mentioned is also evident because of how he is most often able to keep up in battle even if circumstances do not match up, such as transforming into the wrong alien.

The exiled or aspiring ENTJ king is literally the story of Henry II of England in his younger years when he sought to make good his claim to his mother Matilda's inheritance of the English crown which had passed to him.

I think a good example of the eternal optimist is Kamina from Gurren Lagan. Wanted to mention him because an example seemed to be missed. I loved the video mate

Raven Seldon from the Foundation trilogy is another great example of INTJ. His plans are so far reaching and subtle that they’re only realized after generations and at a galactic scale.

INFP here and I'm unsure about Winston Smith 🤔. I feel Holden Caulfield is a better fit as he looks for meaning in just about everything, he is overwhelmed by his emotions and he dwells on the past a lot. I can not comment on Luke Skywalker as I'm rather embarrassed to say...I've never seen any Star Wars movies 🙈.

As an enfp sometimes i think Jesus is mad at me cos i can literally link what we´re talking about at church to something outside the whole Church thing. Like thinking of a car tyre i saw yesterday just because Elijah was carried away in a chariot to imaging Jesus having a haircut in a moving vehicle😂 FORGIVE ME LORD!
