Simple comparison: 1 unused move is equivalent to 1200pt of storm. You need about 40 to 45 moves to finish the map, that's about 50k worth of points "expended". However, you get 6 chests at around 5k pt each, plus one boss at 20k, so 50k worth... and then you get I think 180pt per battle, or around 8k pts extra. So, no. You should get all the chests, but once you do, you sit tight on the remaining points. IF you can get to the boss and finish it with 2 or 3 moves tops. IF you CAN'T do the boss because you can't get 45pt to finish the map, then your best strategy is to sit tight on the points, because all the value comes from the boss.

The event of the third storm. I defeated the boss with all the buffs in a counterclockwise direction. I collapsed on the first attack. Resistance is 150. All but one of the treasure chests were taken. I got an eyeball avatar. I am very happy.　😇

i went with the storm legacy chests and since i am a relatively new player, i was able to get 4 pets up to blue rank so that i could use them in arenas and osh fights. i am at VIP7 rank so i didn't have much of a problem completing this event fully. was totally worth playing it just for the gold, pet eggs, and chaos particles from the chests in my opinion.

Built my buff to 205 and went to take on the boss. Just hit pause and skip battle and instant win for 20,000 more .

The storm is a great event, but you will need a certain vip level to have "an easy time", i have that so for me it is a cheap event (free). My main team (undead) is strong enough to handle the regular fights pretty easily, and the boss is tackled by my lol osh team (usually 2 attacks needed). I do not have to remove the entire center ring, just a few to raise my storm resistance to 200, and then it's "boss time". After the boss i'll get the 2 remaining chests from the center circle to complete the rewards from the event, no investment needed (anymore). Recommended to buy the storm chests, unless you are close to get a pet to full star, then you might want to buy the pet chests instead (amount needed to get the pet to full). No use to buy pet gems in that store, compared to the value of the 2 chests, they are expensive.

In my experience the osh team would get killed too fast with around 190 storm power and do little damage. So I use a multiple healer configuration with Martha, Thea, tank Maya, Celeste and Orion. Maya is able to do some real good damage against that boss, her sprouts and roots tends to hit directly the boss and not be wasted on his minions. And Orion will hit everywhere so hit the boss wherever he is.

level 95 here, i followed the guide at hwfun site,had 60 eggs and got more from boxes. easy 40 ish moves. boss kicked my ass until i used martha,rufus,celeste on heal mode and ginger and galad for dps, all level 83!!! two turns to do the boss

The not playing the map is a misnomer! It happened to work for that guy, but that's not the usual case! My two accounts: Paid account - Not playing the map would've yielded 107 Storm Chests. Playing (Boss + 6 Chests) yielded 115 Storm Chests. Free account - Not playing the map would've yielded 92 Storm Chests. Playing (Boss + 5 Chests) yielded 106 Storm Chests. If you can beat the boss, do the map!

did they jack-up the difficulty for some odd reason I lost 3 battles this time around , like I know they Nerfed Rufus whom used to be immortal in it , but I used to be able to finish the boss with only 180 ~35 moves , i ended up skipping the boss after only doing 10% damage when I used to own them with Dorian + Orion combo Spewing out Rockets ... you always get the last chest near the 175 towers after defeating the boss with final move

These days I finish the event claiming 45 positions spending only 500 emeralds during the event. I can do it in fewer moves, but I claim and additional reward for the 45. I buy one move for 500 ems and receive 3 (i.e. spend 100 ems reward, spend 500 ems reward and the move I paid for in ems). I collect all 6 chests and the Boss chest. I've been getting pet soul stone chests from the shop. Back when I couldn't finish the boss, I would do normal activity and save up all points and coins and collect the Storm Legacy chests. I don't need pet potions anymore, so I avoid the Storm Legacy chests these days, even though they have c.p. I go for the pet soul stones since I do need those and I'll get c.p. from adventures 12 and 13 or Portal Anomaly.

1 move is 2 chests? I got at least 80 storm's legacy and I had 36 moves. Also i think it's possible to kill the boss with 36 moves, my heroes are just not strong enough yet, so you'll get way move chests by playing...

In fact, it would have been better for me not to play the event. I initially had 39 action points and 18,450 storm coins, which makes 88 storm legacy boxes. After I had fought for all 6 small boxes, I still had 2 action points and 60,750 Storm Coins, which makes 84 Storm Legacy boxes. I don't try the boss. As an f2p you don't have enough action points. By the way, the action points are exchanged for Storm Legacy boxes at a ratio of 1:1,6.
