Definitely Herrerasaurus! So far I'm impressed with their progress for the climbing mechanic. And the whole maneuvering through the trees kind of reminds of Predator Hunting Grounds, where when you play as the Predator you can climb the trees and move through them. I wouldn't be surprised if that's where they went for inspiration when it comes to mechanics. And T-rex is another one I'm looking forward to seeing and trying out once it's released.

bit late to discussion but should of made it so if you hold down right click without hanging on the branch you could jump branch to branch instead of it being hang on the brank then jump cause lets say your running away in the trees from other dinosaur climbers your not just gonna stop to hang on the side to then jump should be run then jump

I'm tired of seeing the same old green grass, bushes, trees, leaves, and planes. Take a page from Path of Titan's book and make an island with different biomes or an island seen in The Lost World with each piece of land playing different roles in the Dinosaur's instinctual sense of direction.

Spiro is 60% empty boring grass fields and 40% dense forests, there's nothing to it, no landmark, no point of interest, nowhere to explore. The only nice place on the whole island is the coast down south and there's no incentive for people to go there other than a tiny puddle. The other nice place was the oasis and they removed it. Dondi is more useful being useless.

I'm in the same boat as you! I love playing as non-apexes, and the unique and dynamic gameplay styles of the Beipi and Herrera seem so much fun to me. A semi-aquatic, duck-like omnivorous generalist and an arboreal ambush predator are niches that seem very fun.

my opinions about upcoming apexes is that: rex is gonna be made the same trash as deinosuchus and it can eat its own kind, while trike players on the beginning are gonna feel like the end of the world and will kill every other herbi as much as carni on their way, bc they're big fat trihorned cows thats gonna stab every single one on their way

You just need to find need to find another small rex make it enemy or friend I bet rex limit is 2 and just go rampage for other baby rex kill em get the organ, make the body as a trap for other small rex and you can just grow afk while waiting till other rex go to the body or go to find food, while if rex is NOT cannibal, will make them not killing each other also make them hard to find food so even if there so many of the baby rexes, only one will get to adult or even none just my opinion but I bet devs would make them cannibal like deino

They need to make apex hard as fuck to play if its gonna be that much of a powerhouse. It needs to suffer and be weaker without the right diet. Certain diets allowing it to be capable of different things, but not everything.

Great content as always: excited news for ones, due to new abilities. Something that I think would be incredibly for REX would be a “Grab-Bite” ability where you hold the pray like the croc where stamina goes away and the dinosaur takes damage from the teeth going deeper (the longer u hold in)

The solution is to make it vulnerable when growing and take forever to mature. Remember the legacy sub-giga? Yeah those things were defenseless lambs, imagine having to hunt for nutrients with a sub-giga, now apply that to the rex=way less rex mains.
