Seen quite a few “how-to” herringbone vids in which the standard method is to lay two or three triangular lines all at once. Watching you lay a single triangle straight up the middle is a superior method. Well done. Cheers, Paul

It looks very good. I have just bought the same floor. The installation manual recommends the laying order to be sideways, where you lay them up and down. Have you tried both, and which do you prefer?

Quick question. Can this be layed backwards? I've got quote for a customer who wants it in 3 open plan rooms with no joins but long dividing walls so wherever I start I've got fit it backwards at some point! Don't want to underprice the job. Any help much appreciated! 👍
@NicksWoodFlooring3 жыл бұрын
Jeff Corcoran Hi Jeff I would not recommend to lay it backwards, since it doesn’t work with the click system, but if you have to, you can take off the click lock system with the chisel and use the PVA glue instead, so you can slide the boards in. Hope this helps. Regards, Nick.

@@NicksWoodFlooring much appreciated. 👍 Cheers for the reply, I expected this would be the case. I'll try persuade her to have done independently with jointing strips. 👍

Berry Alloc recommends to use glue to and put it on short sides of the planks. You haven't apply any glue?

Do we need to glue all the short side or just the 1st and last row ? unable to find the details.

Hi just wondering if there's a reason for not glueing the short ends. Thanks
@NicksWoodFlooring3 жыл бұрын
Hi Colin, As you can see in the video, the boards in the end are not that short, so they were not pop in up or moving, sometimes we use the glue when is needed. And on top of that we installed the scotia beading so they will hold the short boards into the place for not pop in up.

@@NicksWoodFlooring Hi nick, thanks for the quick reply. I've just laid mine, the same flooring as above onto our concrete floor, but it creaks a bit and wondered if I should've glued all the ends throughout the whole floor or will the creaking settle down.

@@colinurquhart145 unfortunetley not. I had the same problem. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jF7SkIhrmMSDp68. I made a complaint. The company had to unlaying floor and laying again with glue.

You're supposed to glue the short sides, as per the instructions on the pack.
